6:46 pm [dazat]	Hi there; I've been a 009 fan for awhile now, although I've only read the manga. This community doesn't seem very active anymore which is a shame, but I thought I'd like to spread around my 009 love all the same. Does anyone have a Niconico account? It's a Japanese video uploading site, like youtube. You need an account to watch, there are instructions for signing up here. There are some great hand-drawn music videos done by fans there, like these: 004 de Nuube OP Paro A parody of the Jigoku Sensei Nuube opening with 004 as the main character. The bonus Magical Girl transformation scene at the end is just... Cyborg 009 de U-U-UMA-UMA Cyborg 009 characters dancing to a popular Japanese musical meme. Cyborg 009 Dancho Yet another Japanese meme. Even if you don't get the joke, the art is amazing! There have also been some new figurines released in Japan, of Joe and of Francoise. Joe's going for over a hundred bucks, but Francoise's price has been cut down... well, it's nice to window-shop anyway! However, what meant ‘closed’ for most business owners apparently meant ‘do the work we usually can’t because there are customers to take care of’ in Chang Changku’s dictionary. ) Also, as long as I'm here: does anyone have any ideas for 009-fic stuffs for 2008? 7:30 am [galerian_ash]	Sketch Or Drabble Hey guys, here I am to hopefully get a fun game of Sketch Or Drabble going! "What is that?", you might be wondering. Well, let me explain: Rules First off, you need to sign up before the game begins; do so by commenting to this post. Once we've gotten a decent enough number of people (preferably ten, but atleast six), I will pick someone and ask them "Sketch or drabble?". That person chooses whichever they prefer to do, and when they've done that I give them a prompt. They then have 24 hours to produce said sketch/drabble and post it (if the result is too long for a comment you can post it in your own LJ or wherever you please, as long as you provide a link). Then that person tags someone else by replying to their comment and asking "Sketch or drabble?", and so on and so forth. The game ends once everyone has written or drawn something (see the list of participants for who's been tagged already, I'll cross off the names as we go; meaning they can't be tagged again). Obviously, the prompts given must be related to Cyborg 009 in some way. Prompts can be as specific or vague as you'd like, but please keep in mind that this is just meant to be fun (so don't try to stump the person you tag). 3:12 pm [paulafromtwoson]	Proposition - 009 Translation Hi everyone! (^__^)/ I've been planning on doing another 009 translation.... And I will. But because I'm especially lazy, and because my scanner isn't hooked up at the moment, I was wondering if anyone had some Japanese scans of any 009 stories that they wanted translated (or if anyone wants to scan a story...). My thought was that the scanning process seems to take even more effort than the translation (my computer's stupid). So, it'd be much quicker for me to translate if I could work without having to do the scans. Anyway, if anyone might be interested in contributing scans of the Japanese manga, let me know. I'll translate any 009 story (any character, etc) - although if it's a really long one, let me know first. If no one can help, don't worry, I still plan on doing a translation.
