AboutIf you've experienced any kind of self harm in the past, or continue along that road today, you've found your way home. Cutter's Republic is a self harm community built by those who SI, for those who SI, and encourages you to express yourself in ways YOU see fit. While we do not encourage cutting, or any kind of self abuse, we understand that self injury is a major means of expression. Therefore, while we don't condone any kind of self harm, we don't condemn it either. This is not a self-help community. This is a hang out for those who self harm and are interested in expressing themselves and spending time among understanding individuals who deal with the same issues. Members are encouraged to post stories, poems, pictures, experiences, and suggestions.
There are some rules, however, that must be followed.
[1]This community is not currently being moderated, however if issues from the past arise again, it will become moderated again.
[2]ALL Triggering or long stories, long surveys, and triggering poems MUST be placed behind a LJ cut-tag.(the tag can be found here It's the third one down.)
This is not my rule; it is the rule of the LiveJournal staff guys. Any entries containing pictures that are not behind the said tag will be deleted, and there will be a comment left in your journal with an explanation.
[3] Self harm photos are not permitted. They will be deleted. This is not to be confused with art work.
[4] To join this Community, a Third Grade Reading/Writing Level is required. When you post, please do so in a way that will be understandable to other users and readers. Remember, not everyone speaks 'web-talk'; 'You' is spelled with three letters (not 'u'), and 'for' is spelled with letters, not numbers.
[5] Remember that this is not your personal journal. This is CR's Community. Tell us how you really feel at a given time, or your struggles with self-harm. Things that have been helpful to you in the past are also welcome.
[6]This is not a place for you to come and make fun of us, or tell us we're wrong by what we do. Do that in your own journal; not here. Any posts/comments like that will be deleted.
[7]Instructions on cutting are NOT allowed. Again, not my rule. Any posts containing instructions, with or without a tag, WILL be deleted.
[8]Do not use this community as an opportunity to advertise other communities or websites. People don't visit to read ads; there's plenty of pop-ups out there on the world wide web. Those who insist on advertising will be banned.
