Should I cut my hair off ullltra short and let my natural blonde grow back in? Possibly then highlighting or bleaching it pale blonde? Here are my pros and cons of both the cut and color:

CUT:

Pros:

-Very very low-maintenence. Once the baby is here, I won't have time to wash and dry and style every other day like I do now. When my hair was pixie short, I only washed it maybe once a week or less, and it always looked better dirty than clean. Also, I didn't have to comb it or dry it or anything, I just finger-combed it and that was it.

-Easy to maintain the cut myself. I could even use our clippers like I do on Aaron's hair.

Cons:

-I just don't feel feminine and girly with short hair. As much as everyone else loves it short, I tend to burn with hair envy.

-It's such a bitch to grow out. You go through so many awkward stages.

-What if I really regret cutting it? I can't just glue it back on.

COLOR:

Pros:

-Everyone wants to see me as a blonde again, so it would be the perfect opportunity to do that again. Everyone loves my black hair, but no one has seen it blonde in over 12 years.

-We would save a lot of money on hair color. I color it about every three weeks, and my hair color costs $10. I always use coupons, though, so it's never actually that much.

-I can just re-dye it if I hate it.

Cons:

-It will look weird until all the black is cut off.

-Clothes and makeup won't look as good on me. Part of what I love about black hair is that everything looks good on me. Also, I can wear bold eyeshadow and winged eyeliner, and it doesn't look harsh or overdone. It will stand out a lot more against blonde hair.

-My skin will look really red and blotchy. I always hated that when my hair was my natural color. Black "washes me out" more, and manages to minimize the redness in my skin, in a good way.

-The main con is really that I won't look hot. I mean, I'm obsessed with my black hair, and so is Aaron. But, like I said before, it can easily be re-dyed.

So, yeah, I've been agonizing over this lately, and I asked Aaron what he thought. He's actually for it, he'd like to see me blonde, and he thinks I'm hot no matter what. I'm just so torn, it would be a huuuuuuuuuuuuge commitment. Oh, one more pro is that I'll be off for three months anyway, so if it's terrible, at least I'm not at work everyday. Now would be the time to do it if I were to do it at all.
