I'm sorry for posting this everywhere and sorry if it's not relevant, but I was wondering if anyone wants an invite to oink. It's a torrent downloading community.
http://oink.me.uk/
And I know a lot of people are using torrents as a source of downloading nowadays and I have TONS of invites that I need to give away and it's a really neat community.
Other than the fact that it's sometimes a pain keeping your ratio up, but anyway, leave a comment with your email address if you would like one.

EDIT:
I ran out of them very quickly!
So I'm very very sorry if you didn't get one, I tried to give them out first come first serve, but I'm not sure how well it worked out. Maybe I'll make another post like this once I have some more since so many people ended up wanting some.

On Cursive's "Excerpts from Various Notes Strewn Around the Bedroom..."

From my mp3 blog, http://evanryt.blogspot.com, where you can also download this song:

The Cubist movement wasn’t just restricted to visual arts, there was also a literary component as well. Much as Pablo Picasso’s paintings depicted multiple angles simultaneously, the stories of Gertrude Stein and André Gide were told from every relevant perspective.

Cursive’s Tim Kasher writes songs in the spirit of these literary Cubists. Unlike the usual break-up song, Kasher's tales of failed relationships don’t simply convey the emotions surrounding heartbreak and disappointment, they read like meticulously researched transcripts documenting the inner most thoughts of all involved parties.

This particular song, purportedly pieced together from Dear John letters written by a woman in a severely unhealthy relationship, is Kasher’s most explicit use of this songwriting technique. In lesser hands, its premise could be gimmicky, but Kasher and company have turned it into something unforgettably powerful. You can’t help but pity poor April Connolly, and you can’t help but be a little bit afraid for her when Kasher assumes the role of her boyfriend Trevor to issue a furious, drunken response to her notes. There’s no happy ending here: Trevor presumably succeeds in coercing April to stay with him, even though his manipulative tactics substantiate all the reasons she’s laid out for wanting to leave.
