There is a lot of WCMI fanfic floating around the 'net. We feel flattered by each and every one regardless of the author's skill level (the same goes for fan art, of course) and try to read all of them as time allows. 

Like any fanfic genre you occasionally come across a story that transcends all others and seems to rearrange the concept of fanfic all on it's own. Now Bri and I have seen many a fine WCMI-based story but until recently we'd never had a moment when we just satt back after reading something and thought '.....wow.'   

Valadilenne gave us that moment not too long ago. Her story 'Sunny Disposish' completely humbled me and made me wonder if WCMI has had the wrong writer all along. This girl could easily publish and I don't say that lightly, folks. Her writing is lush, intensely imaginative and so very, very victorian in feel. I can't fully express how much I love her story-telling style; I could roll in her writing like a happy child in a big pile of autumn leaves. Her Hatter and Alice have shining personalities all their own and she by far - by FAR - outwrites me on every level. So I hereby request that every last one of you pay a visit to her Deviantart page, read her ongoing story and heap some well deserved praise on her. OR ELSE THE POCKET SQUIRREL WILL COME GET YOU.

Yes, I know that most folks have seen this movie. =p Regardless I wanted to post this video for the scant few who haven't. The scene brings three things to mind for me.

1. Yep,  this inspired a certain WCMI segment.

2. If WCMI was filmed as a live-action movie Jim Carrey would have to be cast as Reginald. Hell he's practically channeling Reg in this video as it is.

3. Reg probably has an identical outfit (complete with feathered hat) in his closet.

 Identical save for one minor change: his would have sequins.

Is anyone up for a Q&A session while you all await the final dance segment? We seem to have a lot of new readers sooo...why the hell not? So here's the usual lowdown: 

For the next 3 days we will answer any questions about the WCMI storyline, future events, current events, how segments are made, character motives/quirks/personalities/histories/relationships, inspirations, hidden goodies, etc. Anything goes..well, almost. 

Do keep in mind that there's a lot of future plot material that we won't reveal (spoilers r teh evilz) nor will we answer any questions that breach the PG-13 limit. Post your questions as comments below and please limit yourself to three questions per post. We will reply to all questions as time allows. Don't worry if we haven't answered yours when the session closes to new questions, we'll still reply to any left unanswered. =) 

No question is too silly..in fact we're expecting a fair amount of silliness. =p

Your mission is to write a drabble using the spring dance events as a springboard. It's simple enough...write an observation on Reg/Alice's behavior at the dance. The catch? You're writing from another character's POV! What would Jack Sparrow think while watching Reg send potential rivals running with just a look? What might Hades conclude after seeing Alice and Reg tearing up the dance floor? Or Snow White? Pick your poison. It doesn't have to be a character that's actually appeared in the comic so far - there are many in attendence and you're free to use any disney character that strikes your fancy. 

Post your drabbles as comments right here and have fun with it! Remember to keep it between a G and PG-13 rating. We will accept entries for the next 5 days. After those 5 days have passed everyone will be invited to vote for their favorite by adding a suitable comment 'got my vote' to the drabble in question. (Voters must have an LJ to prevent ballot stuffing.) 

The author with the most votes will be treated to an early sneak peek at a single spoileriffic panel from the upcoming segment (the final dance scene.) The author will of course be expected to keep the contents of that panel to themselves. ;)
