I just got a bunch of new tunes for Friday night! I hope I'll see you all out at Volume 11. The show starts at 10 but AssassiNathan and I will be spinning starting at 8, so come out early and get your groove on before Ego Likeness and Voltaire take the stage!

The cooler weather is here and downtown is cranking back to life. The glowing spheres of city market, and the street lights of Fayetteville Street & Glennwood Avenue are lit. I drive a Rickshaw locally, and if you care for a tour of the city, a ride to a multiple or single location date, or a DD to all of your favorite late night locations, pop me an email. I work on tips, it's a lot of fun, and I have working music and I can take requests if you have something in mind.

Eye Glasses Donations

Additional information:

Complete glasses only are accepted. Scratched glasses are acceptable. If you have cases for your old glasses but can't find the glasses then donate the cases! When available, they are a bonus for the people who get the glasses and if you are as rough on your glasses as I am on mine then you know how important cases can be!

A couple of guys I know have an anime company, which I only found out about a few months ago.
They are Anole Media right now, but I think they may be changing their name to Anole Anime at some point.

The point is this:
They just moved into the space Old Habits used to occupy right about Curious Goods. (Curious Goods is also fabulous btw... stop in and say hi to Kim. She's lovely.)
Ray and Jay are just starting out, so they may not have everything you want in stock because they don't yet know what people in this particular area might be interested in. However, they are good people and they will order anything for you if they can get it.

So, for everyone out there who happens to enjoy anime, try out their website or their store on Hillsborough street (right above Curious Goods).

They have Evangelion, Reign, Helsing, Vampire Hunter D, Last Exile, Kino's Journey, and Full Metal Alchemist... among others...
Plenty of T-shirts, toys, hats and games also.

I am a spoken word artist from Raleigh, NC. You may have read some of my work on here. I just wanted to share that I will be performing tonight on 103.5 WCOM FM from 6:00-6:30 PM. It is a small community radio station out of Carrboro, NC. If you are not in listening range you can stream the show from the internet at http://communityradio.coop.

I will be reading three pieces and discussing them and their relevance to life. Most of my work is driven by politics or social issues...so remember...I'm liberal. I will be reading a brand new poem as well. You could be one of the first to hear "Simply Trying" performed.

This is a really exciting experience for me, so I hope that you are able to join me for it wherever you are. I would love to hear back from people who have listened with commentary.
