Help!
this isn't exaaaactly the right community, but it's the closest I can think of. I'm trying to research some companies, but I can't figure out how to find parent companies. Sometimes sites will list subsidiaries of a company, but I can't seem to find complete lists, and it's even hard to find out who a company is a subsidiary of! I tried the SEC website, but everything was in crazy legalese, and involved sorting through hundreds of pages of reports, and I don't even know if it had the information. Anyone know how to find this info?

I often check the Wikipedia entries for the more well-known companies. It's really hard to trace some of these bastards sometimes.

Especially with food items. The only way you'd know Toblerone is a Philip Morris product would be that tiny little "KF Holdings" printed on the box, and you'd have to know that KF means Kraft Foods, and that they're a PM company. Nowhere does Starbucks print that, and their retail products also benefit Philip Morris.

So check Wiki, and if you would, let me know how successful that proves for you. I'm always interested in who's who in the corporate world.

Wow, this is pretty crazy. Some of the affiliated comanies, I can't even find any info about. Sneaky bastards!
