Official Dates

- From now until July 6 we will be collecting prompts. (Note: Submitting prompts does not mean you have to produce any fic. Unless you want to. You really do want to, right?)

- July 6 to July 13 is when people can make claims, here. (Although remaining prompts will be available for claiming right up until the due date.)

- July 13 to August 27 is the official writing period.

- August 13 is when the comm will be open for you to start posting your stories, yay!

- August 27 is the deadline for posting your stories. Please don't be late! (We'll do our best to remind you, of course.)



General Rules

- No flaming, trolling, etc, anywhere in the comm. Cuddy frowns on it.

- All pairings, ratings, het, slash, threesomes, moresomes, crossovers, and AUs, are welcome. And please don't forget gen. We really, really like Cuddy gen. Also, pirates.

- Your stories are your own. Once you have posted them here (or posted them in your own LJ and provided the link here), feel free to x-post at will.

- Information regarding how to submit prompts can be found over in the Prompts Post. Similarly, info on the claiming of prompts will be in the Claims Post.

- You may join this comm - in fact, we encourage it. Also, add it to your flist, so that you can keep up with any modly announcement posts. (Don't worry, there won't be many.) Comm will be open for the posting of stories from August 13, two weeks before the final date of submission.

- You may take as many prompts as you'd like, but we highly recommend no more than three or four at a time. We're trying to encourage lots of people to partake in the joys of Cuddy, and we want to be absolutely sure there are enough prompts to go around.

- Once a prompt has been claimed, it will be crossed off the list i.e. no longer up for claiming.

- Any questions? Comment to this post, and a friendly mod-type person will answer as soon as possible.



Submission Rules and Information

- Stories must be at least 800 words in length.

- Stories must be complete, as in one-shots. No works-in-progress.

- Stories must focus on Cuddy in some way. Meaning she is one of the main characters, if not the main character. Other POVs and such are of course fine but, come on people, it's called Cuddy Fest.

- Betas are fabulous! As are spell-checkers. Also, things like decent grammar and punctuation always go over well. (Cuddy certainly approves of them.)

- Please provide the usual information when posting - Title, Rating, Characters/Pairing, and warnings for spoilers, being the important ones.

- Please have your fic/s ready by the due date! August 27 is a Monday, which means you'll have all weekend to finish up if you leave it to the last minute (like some of us tend to do *ahem*). We shall be poking you with our pointy sticks to remind you about the approaching deadline, of course. The community will be left open for the posting of late submissions, but your story will not be added to the Cuddy Fest Master List of Awesome. And you wouldn't want that, now, would you?

- If, for whatever reason, after claiming a prompt, you know you won't be able to write it? Please let us know so that we can open it back up for someone else to claim.
