AboutThis is a new community designed to allow networking and community building within the Bear and Cub Gay Subculture. It was created out of need to get away from people who see the bear community as strictly sexual in nature, and to help educate those who may not understand the social structure and fraternal bonds that a lot of bears share.
Feel free to discuss and post anything dealing with what it means to be a bear. Ask questions, post experiences, post pictures. As this is a new community, it will constantly change and evolve as more people join and create what they want this community to be.
Only rules are.....
-Be respectful. No flaming or bashing someone. If you disagree with their opinion....state what you feel, but be civil. Bashing another member will result in one warning, continued bashing will result in being bumped from the community. This is an extreme measure I hope to not have to use.
-This is an Adult Oriented group, so sex and things of a sexual nature will be discussed. If you are not comfortable with this, please don't ask to join the community.
-Pictures are encouraged to be posted. But all pictures should be placed behind LJ Cuts and should be listed as work safe or not to avoid any possible embarrassment :-)
-All applicants will be screened to ensure they are 18 or over (based upon birthday information provided in their profile). As there will be adult material present here, I am not allowing underage users access. YOU MUST HAVE A BIRTHDAY, INCLUDING BIRTH YEAR, LISTED or it will be assumed you're under age.
I plan on being a hands off moderator. This is your community and can cover any topics dealing with what it means to be a bear....this is a lot of territory and I'll step in only when necessary.
