Ferret-Friendly Apartments [May. 20th, 2009|03:06 pm]

chop_sockey
Hi, everyone! I'll be moving to Boulder for grad school in the Fall, and I'm wondering if any of you here have, or know someone who has, ferrets and is also a renter. I have called countless property management places today to inquire about their ferret-friendliness, and everyone has said "no." I'm starting to get a little concerned, so I figured I'd ask for advice here. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey, weird question but where do you guys do your banking? I'm trying to decide where to open an account once I get to Boulder. (Entering fall of '09-- just trying to plan ahead!)

I have heard rumors that Ramaley is closed off today. Can anyone confirm?

Never mind -- I just got a confirmation from two separate classes. Apparently there was a flood in the building, and it's been entirely closed off, and classes canceled.

Friends anyone? [Mar. 13th, 2009|07:44 pm]

lilkittyangel
Hey, anybody want to be friends on Facebook? I just joined the Colorado network and I'm feeling kinda lonely since I have no friends there. PM me if you don't want to broadcast your personal info. If you want to know about me, basically I am an incoming freshman (starting this fall) from Arlington, VA (I'm still a senior in high school) and I'm reallllly nervous about moving to a new place and meeting new people. It'd be great to know some people already there. Anyway thanks and I hope to hear from you!!

Oh yeah, and I will be in the Kittredge Residential Honors Program so anyone who is in that I would be especially excited to meet!

Help? [Feb. 7th, 2009|10:32 pm]

lilkittyangel
Hi everyone, I sent an e-mail to the Housing Department asking this question but I thought someone here might be able to reply a little sooner. Basically, I'm an incoming freshman, and I really want to apply for housing now before everything fills up. I got invited to apply for the Honors program, and I sent the form back, but I haven't heard from them yet. I know if you're in the Honors program you are supposed to put Arnett Hall as your first choice on your housing application, but I don't know if I'm in it yet. So my question is, should I wait until I hear back from the Honors program, or just go ahead and apply and list Arnett Hall as my first choice anyway?

Thanks in advance!

bike4fish
You are cordially invited to attend, “TOEplitz,” a Master of Fine Arts dance
concert featuring the work of MFA candidate Nicole Predki, happening February
6 & 7 at 7:30 pm and February 8 at 2 pm. Aerial feats combined with operatic
voices, live video projection and captivating choreography meet the subjects of
math and science creating an unforgettable evening of performance.

This concert is sponsored by the Department of Theatre & Dance and ATLAS
Institute’s Center for the Arts, Media & Performance. Artistic Director, Nicole
Predki draws her inspiration from German mathematician Otto Toeplitz’s matrix

Einstein’s quest for a unified field theory.

All of this comes together in a unique collaborative and intimate performance.
The audience will have the unique opportunity to view the same performance
twice in two separate spaces, the ATLAS Black Box Theatre and the Film

There's probably only a small chance this will be answered before my 8am class tomorrow, but here goes! Being the uber-responsible senior I am, I just now glanced at my class schedule and quickly recognized all the building abbreviations except for "FLMG."

I can only assume they mean the Fleming law building, even though it's abbreviated LAW on the campus map? It's a random place to have a drawing class but I suppose with the construction they had to shove that class wherever it would fit.

If anyone else has had classes at FLMG and it truly is the law building, I'd really appreciate a heads up. :)

Hey everyone, I'm an incoming student who was invited to apply for this Presidents Leadership Class thing. Is anyone in it? The website makes it seem like a Golden Opportunity but I wanted to hear some reallife! opinions before I went through applying for it. Thoughts?

The new IFS program has been released online: http://www.internationalfilmseries.com/schedule.php

There's some really good stuff this semester. For those of you that don't know, IFS is sort of like the program counsil's movie screenings, except you have to pay $4 and the theater isn't full of retards.

Apartments? [Dec. 27th, 2008|03:30 pm]

cest_amy
Anyone know of any 1 bed (or lofts) apartments available for $600 or less? I've looked online, but wondering if there was anyone here with knowledge!
Edit: I have a 3 year old who will be with me some of the time, so I'm just looking for a 1 bedroom, not a room in a house.

Hi babies. Happy holidays.

So I'm not here to disclose my poor planning skills or to bitch and moan about the notorious 5 Year Plan, but I do have a question that is not unrelated to either thing.

Context:I have one class left before graduation. It's for my major. I'm enrolled and ready to go. It's all good.

Question: DO THEY REALLY, I MEAN REALLY, expect me to be paying FULL TUITION for the 3 hours a week I'm going to be spending on campus? Is this a joke?

Like, really?

Because if so, it is a serious possibility that I'll have to just...drop out now, 3 credit hours short of my degree, save up for a few years with babysitting money, and go back at age 30. I cannot afford to piss off $10K in one semester for 3 credits.

I don't even use the goddamn gym.

I'm freaking out a little. Right now I'm waiting for the financial office to open this morning so I can call in. In the mean time, does anyone else have experience with getting almost-screwed and then reigning triumphant over the great and terrible finger of the CU Tuition Elf?

Thanks.

Lol, so apparently there was a man who was caught videotaping a couple having sex, the neighbors caught the man recording the couple having sex and called the cops . He subsequently got arrested.  The Boulder County Police department issued issued a search warrant on his home and found scores of stolen panties, and bras . According to one news source, the man would become fixated on one women break into her home, and record her getting out of the shower (apparently without her knowledge) and masturbate with the stolen garments (this apparently was in the video)

The Boulder Police department has displayed the stolen panties on their web site and is asking
people to help identify the panties as a means of contacting the victims who could have been recorded by this perve. Wow, I am not surprised that this happened in Boulder.

acsnavely
[music |BURNING SILENCE]

hi guys.
my boyfriend and i had bought tickets to go see the "final fantasy symphony" for october 8th, but something came up and we can no longer attend.

if anyone wants them, i can sell them both for $40 via paypal.
they were originally $33 each.
the only stipulation is that YOU WILL NEED TO PRESENT YOUR BUFF ID when they check you tickets, so they know you are not ripping them off.

information:
The Colorado Symphony Orchestra Presents: Music from Final Fantasy- Distant Worlds
Wednesday October 8, 2008 at 7:30pm
Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver
seats: ORCHESTRA LEVEL 2, SECTION 3- SEATS 42 AND 43

Photobucket

if someone considers this inappropriate spam, feel free to delete.
since the tickets were bought with a student deal, this was the only place i could think to list them.
if youre interested and $40 is too steep, lets talk.

Tired of the Bush Administration and the way our country is being run?
Take America in a new direction!

Get paid to work towards a more progressive future where:

- Every American has health care
- All our children can receive a quality education
- Global warming is reversed and our energy comes from clean, renewable sources
- America is an example for the world through partnerships abroad and democracy at home

While we’re spending billions of dollars every week in Iraq and giving tax breaks to oil companies that are raking in record profits, we cannot provide millions of children, here at home, healthcare or a decent education. Currently, we are working on campaigns to restructure our country’s priorities by organizing at the grassroots level and signing up members! To do this, we're seeking hard-working, committed progressives who are interested in making a difference and want to move our country in the right direction!

Career opportunities and benefits available.
