| Who: Sara and Grissom. Where: The lecture hall and back to the hotel.
The walk from the hotel to the hall in which Grissom was lecturing was blessedly short. After a block, Grissom had wrapped his arm around Sara's shoulders, feeling chilly and knowing she would be as well. New York was a fascinating place to him, and he loved visiting it. All the people and the hustle and bustle, minus the gawdy neon the Vegas Strip provided. He was definitely a city man, and New York was one of the best.
His head was on a constant swivel during their walk, watching the masses of people trudge through the dreary evening cold. Homeless people pushed carts along the walks and rich men in suits busied themselves with their cell phones. And here he was, walking along the streets with his arm around Sara Sidle. He never thought he'd put his arm around Sara Sidle, and here he was, walking into a lecture hall with her.
Realizing that appearances were now priority, he dropped his arm and glanced around for a moment. Shoving his hands in his pocket he headed towards the doors to the main hall. He had used Fed-Ex to ship his supplies a week in advance, and his correspondent had assured him that everything was safe in the lecture hall. Opening the door, he saw that everything was on the stage waiting for him, in multiple large boxes.
"Shall we?" He asked, sweeping his arm into the room and holding the door for Sara.

| Who: Sara & Grissom What: after Sara's shift When: Late night Where: Irish pub next to the hotel _______________________________________________________________________
Sara was exhausted and the one thing she wanted besides curling up with Grissom was a beer. A nice cold Heineken just off ice.
She craved it as she stepped into the irish pub and took a seat at the counter, smiling at the bar tender. "Heineken off the ice please." She tugged at her scarf and removed her jacket.
"Tough shift?" He asked uncapping the bottle and returning Sara's smile.
"You couldn't even imagine." She sighed and thanked the man as she took a long swig of the cool liquid, eyes closed as she felt it bubble in the back of her throat. Perfection.
He was close as she opened her eyes and smiled sweetly. "Thank you." She said gently and placed the bottle on the counter.
"Tell me about it." He offered and shrugged.
Sara sighed and laughed gently. "It starts with yesterday morning...."

| Who: Catherine & anyone else who wants to join. What: Packing up her office, flight from Las Vegas to NYC. When: About 4 AM. Where: Catherine's office, La Guardia Airport.
Catherine Willows drove up to the Las Vegas crime lab, her daughter Lindsay in the car with her. She was here to pick up a few things from her office that she hadn't gotten yet. After parking the car she told Lindsay to wait in the car and she got out of the car. The air was cool on her neck, blowing her redish-blonde shoulder length hair in her face a bit. Catherine swept her hair out of her face and stepped into the door of the crime lab and headed straight to her office. Her office wasn't very big, and wasn't as "interesting" as her colleague Gil Grissom's office, what with his insect and animal parts assorted on many shelves throughout his office.
After Catherine had scrambled through her purse looking for the key to her office she opened the door, her office was extremely cold as it was every afternoon when she arrived to work on the swing-shift. She headed to her desk and grabbed the last box off her desk. Then she looked out her office window for the last time, she was going to miss it there. She used to love the bright lights and glow of Sin City but after her biological father Sam Braun was shot and killed in front of her, everything reminded her of him, especially the casinos.
She hurried out to the car she put the box in the trunk part of her lab issued vehicle and got back in the car. Ecklie had agreed that Catherine could take the car with her to New York. Catherine and Lindsay had always wanted to go to New York, that's why when a job opening came available in New York City she didn't even think twice and she accepted it.
It seemed they had been on the plane for three hours already, but they had only been on for about a half an hour. Lindsay had fallen asleep shortly after they boarded listening to her iPod. Catherine was to nervous to fall asleep or do anything really, she wasn't a good flyer. She had flown numerous times before but something about being thousands of feet in the air just wrecked her nerves. The turbulance was what really got to her, she always felt like the plane was going to go down. She also thought of the case she had worked about seven years ago where a group of first class passenger attacked another passenger.
Halfway through the flight they put a movie on but Catherine didn't feel like spending six dollars to rent headphones just to watch a little kids movie. Catherine had woken Lindsay up for the dinner/snacks/drinks they served on long flights like the current one. They had their oriental chicken salad and Lindsay fell back asleep. Catherine's nerves seemed to have eased a bit so she read a few forensics books.
At some point in the flight Catherine had fallen asleep because she awoke to the flight attendent welcoming them to La Guardia airport. After filing off the plane, they headed to baggage claim and collected their suitcases with some of their clothing and the bare essentials they'd need until the moving truck arrived with Catherine's car and the rest of their furniture and personal items. They went outside in the freezing cold weather and put their hats, gloves, scarfs, and winter jackets on and awaited for someone from the New York crime lab to come and give them a ride to their new apartment.

| WHO: Archie Johnson and anyone who would like to join in.
WHAT: Flying from Las Vegas to New York.
WHERE: Las Vegas to the JFK International Airport!
WHEN: 8:30AM
It was just another seminar he was willing to attend - this time in New York City. There was nothing wrong with wanting to learn more about new-and-improved software or equipment that was out. Right? Afterall, he was a computer geek.
Standing from his seat, he stretched in the small amount of room he was given. "Man.." He rubbed at his eyes before grabbing his carry one item and slinging it over his shoulder. Overall, the flight wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great by any means. His chair in the lab was more comfortable than that airplane seat. Nevertheless, Archie left that thought behind as he walked through the terminal gate.
Maybe I'll be able to check out one of the art galleries before the seminar.. It was wishful thinking on his part, seeing as this seminar wasn't going to be as long as he'd like it to be. Less time in the city, less to sightsee.
He pushed that thought aside only to look around for the individual who was going to meet him. Once found, he would go get his lone suitcase.

| WHO: Ryan Wolfe and any one else who wants to. WHAT: Going to Miami airport, flying and landing in New York City WHERE: Miami airport, the plane and JFK airport WHEN: between 5 and 9 am
It had taken three hours, several frantic phone calls to Alexx and unpacking and repacking his bags six times before he was positive that he hadn't forgotten anything and that every piece of clothing was exactly folded. Normally he didn't let his OCD run his life this badly but with the time of flight coming closer and closer, the condition had taken over and he had had a ruler permanently stuck to his had for at least a day. Ryan was looking forward to it, he'd not been to New York before but Alexx had assured him that it was a fantastic place and Horatio had promised him that Mac Taylor and his team were the best. Getting on to the plane had been the easy part but when he had seen Alexx waving at him he had felt his heart clench at the thought it wa an undisclosed amount of time before he would see her again. She was his mother figure and he would have been lying if he said he wouldn't miss her.
His thoughts had become so deep that he hadn't realised that they were in New York and landing. Stepping into the airport, the number of people hit him and Ryan decided that there was no way he was getting out of here on his own. Grabbing his bags and sitting on a convenient bench he sighed, now he was here all he had to do was wait for the person the New York crime lab were sending to meet him.

| WHO: Nicky... And anyone else who wants to join in! WHAT: Arriving in New York! WHERE: NYC- JFK Airport. WHEN: 06:00.
Nick packed the last of his belongings and locked the door of his home in Vegas for one final time. As he walked out, he sighed. He was going to miss Sin City, but he'd visited New York numerous times, and always hated when he had to return home. It was a bittersweet good-bye, but he kept telling himself that he was making the right decision.
He managed to catch a few hours of sleep on the plane ride to The Big Apple, his favorite tunes on his portable CD player sang his ears. Before he knew it, the flight attendant had announced their arrival. When he opened his eyes, John F. Kennedy International Airport was staring him in the face. He'd finally made it, and he knew there was no turning back now. - Mood:sick

| Who: Flack + Danny What: ONE MONTH ANNIVERSARY! When: Immediately after Danny's shift... at 2:30 AM Where: At the lab
It was yet another frigid morning... though this time it was at possibly the most awkward hour... 2:30 AM. Flack had cursed himself for attempting to pull something like this, having woken up at 1:00, only getting an hour. But he could deal with that... with enough coffee. It had been a rough morning, and now Flack was camping out in front of Crimelab, waiting for Danny to come out of the front.
Yawning, Flack took another sip of hot coffee, leaving the top of his mouth hot and dry. As he gazed out the window expectantly, a smile grew across his face anxiously awaiting the day he had planned.
|
| Who: Danny, Don, and Greg What: A night on the town... When: Saturday night after they're all off shift, around midnight. Where: Fox and Firkin
As Flack sat at the bar he nearly split a gut laughing at Danny's story. Downing what had been his... first? He figured his first beer of the night. Smiling, Don sat there, wondering when Greg would show. Greg had decided to get here on his own, so Flack had actually picked a bar with an entrance on a relatively well-traveled street. Clapping his hand on Danny's back, Flack grinned wildly at his boyfriend, having great fun, and anticipating how the night would progress...

| Who: Danny n' Aiden What: Catching up over something to eat. When: Late evening. Where: A favored Cafe of Aiden's.
Danny sat in the back of a little coffee shop that smelled far too strongly of patchouli for him to say he liked it here, but it was quiet and not too far out of the way, and he sure as shit wasn't likely to bump into anyone he knew except the one person he'd invited. The one person he knew liked this faux-dive little joint. He lit another cigarette, ignoring the fact that he'd been back at this near chain smoking habit of his for a few days now, as his leg bounced on the ball of his foot under the hand painted little table. The last thing a man with this much nervous energy crackling through his veins needed was coffee, but he'd ordered one, because nothing goes with nicotine like caffeine.
He wasn't nervous that Aiden was going to stand him up. That just wouldn't happen. She wasn't like that. THEY weren't like that with each other, even when they were in the middle of a tiff. His nerves came mostly from the knowledge that for a guy who talked as much as Danny did, his mouth was, more than not, his own worst enemy. - Location:cafe

| WHO: Grissom and Sara WHAT: Destination: NYC WHERE: Starting at Sara's apartment, going through to arrival at NYC hotel WHEN: Around 7 AM.
Grissom pulled his state issued Denali in front of Sara's apartment at 7 AM on the dot. They had agreed that, even though their flight was at 11 AM, leaving at 7 would allow them plenty of time to get through the rigorous check points. Grissom put the car in park and sat for a moment, lost in his own mind.
When he had been offered the teaching seminar in New York City, he had not thought for a second to turn it down. Bugs and bodies in the urban setting. That was the title of his lecture. Slightly trite and odd, he thought, but then again it was about what he was lecturing on and not the title of his lecture.
Ecklie had been more then eager to allow Grissom the trip. He had even told Grissom that he would count the lecture towards career credit hours, even though Grissom needed none. And then Ecklie had told him that one of his staff needed to accompany him so they could catch up on their hours. Grissom immediately thought of Greg or Nick or even Catherine, running through his mind to try and figure out the last time any of them had taken a class. He could recall that they were all caught up. Before he had a chance to think any further, Ecklie had dropped the bombshell.
Sara Sidle was to accompany him and assit him in any wya he needed. Grissom huffed slightly but realized his fate would not be changing. Instead he left Ecklie's office trying to figure out just how he was going to deal with her. It was easy to avoid her at the lab, and it was easy to hide his feelings at the lab. But when he had to be with her for over a month? He knew that neither of them had friends there, so they would only know one another. Social, professional, and every interaction would be together. Everything. Together.
Grissom barely realized he was knocking on Sara's door until the sharp rap of the wood against his knuckle jolted him from his thoughts. Clearing his throat, he slid his hands in his pockets and waited for her to answer. - Mood:nervous
