This morning, I discovered that someone in soymangui was re-posting (hotlinking) some of my CSI icons (specifically my completed csiicons100 table of Danny Messer). I've already contacted them to delete the post, but there were other CSI-related icon posts in soymangui that are definitely hotlinked from other icon makers.

I suggest you head over there to check that they are not re-posting any of your icons and stealing your bandwidth.

Hello everyone!

So, for a while now, we've had the same banners - since I started working on this comm about a year ago, actually. And I thought it was time for a change! So, starting today, the old banners are no longer being made. Instead, anyone who finishes their claim will be awarded with the new style of banner, which will be like this:



Basically, I (or you) pick a favorite icon from your claim and a related cap and create a banner like this featuring the icon. Do let me know if you like it. I'm hoping it's acceptable, but if there's a massive outcry for the old banner, I'll go back. ;)

Hello everyone!

I just wanted you all to know that the 50 themes for the challenge have been changed! All new and waiting to be interpreted by iconists looking for a challenge.

This does not mean if you're doing a challenge you suddenly have to change! The new themes are only in effect for people who take new challenges. So if you want to do the new themes, finish your challenge and then get a new one! ... Unless you really haven't started yet or really, really want to do them and want to shift the themed ones you've done already into Artist's Choice.

So yes! Yell it from the mountaintops! And tell all your friends who might be interested. It's a brand new challenge!

Hello, everyone!

I need to bring your attention to a rather big update for those of you with claims. I poured through the claim dates and noticed that, over time, the claim dates seem to have fluctuated and gotten smaller and larger, and none of them are truly 100 days (I don't think they ever have been, really). So I'm solving this problem.

As of today, everyone's claim date has been changed - you all have more time now.

I went through and tried to calculate 100 days for everyone. I'm not sure it's totally exact, but I think it's closer than what we had before, and I'm hoping that from now on everyone will get 100 days on the nose. Of course, for many of you the claim date is never an issue, but for those who are doing this to get some chops or have time issues with school, life, etc, more time is always welcome. Well, you have it now. So let me know if you have any questions or issues, and I'll try to keep on top of everything. The next scheduled update is a change of the themes, which should be in the next week or so, for any of you thinking about claiming but holding off because the themes haven't changed in a while. Hi everyone! Your intrepid Mod speaking, with a few notes and updates.

1. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! Anyone who's finished a challenge in the last few months and HASN'T applied for a banner, please do so! I know there are at least two people who have finished claims and never commented on the Hall of Fame posts. If you don't comment at the Hall of Fame, I don't know that you've finished and you'll never get a banner or be put up on the list of the insaneamazingly creative and accomplished! Please come comment! I want to award you for your hard work!

2. Before she handed the comm over to me, unspell was very kind and went through all the back posts and tagged everything so we could more easily access things. My reason for mentioning this is threefold. First of all, she's awesome and deserves thanks, so THANK YOU!!! Second, if you're posting, pleasepleaseplease use tags if you can, so we can keep it neat and tidy ...

3. Third and my next point is, if there's anyone interested in being Tags Updater, please comment to this post or get in touch with me at my lj, moira_fae11. I'd be ever so grateful!

Just thought I'd inform you guys that I'm going to be back so you'll see me more often now with moderation etc.

Somethings that might be coming up;
/ ♪ / I'm thinking of going back to all the old posts and tagging them. If I do so I'll probably want several people to help since there are almost 400 entries. Completed. It took two hours but I'm done.

/ ♪ / A rules update/change is probably going to happen pretty soon as well. You guys have been amazing so far so I might change a few things to make things funner for you guys.

Just so everyone is aware, we've changed the themes for the first 50 icons! Everyone who is in the middle of their claim can continue with the old themes. But from here on out, anyone who claims will be using the new themes. They're on the info page and have been built into the icon table. Enjoy!

OMFG. Claims are randomly disappearing off of the claims list. WTF?
So do me a favor check the claims list and tell me if your claim is missing.
& don't even try and lie & say its not there when you never had a claim.
