doctorfumbles. Contests will mainly feature the original series however every now and then there will be a Miami or New York contest. :) Big thanks to
quebelly for creating the whole stillness thing!Rules
[*] No icons can be animated - this is a stills community after all!
[*] Submissions are to remain anonymous. Do not use your icon or post it until the banners have been awarded
[*] Icons must be newly created - no using icons that were made previously!
[*] DO NOT follow tutorials step by step: What I mean is, if you come across a full icon tutorial, do not follow each step exactly to create an icon that looks just like the one in the tutorial. Instead, use certain steps to learn new things and develop your own ways of applying them. It’s not cool to see a hundred icons that all look the same. Absolutely do NOT copy another person’s icon style and submit it to an icon challenge. Challenges are designed for people to compete with their own work. If you’re going to copy another person’s style and enter into a contest, you might as well give the award to the other person, because it was their idea in the first place. Challenges aren’t about who can copy an icon the best. Be original!
Any direct copies from tutorials will be disqualified
[*] No telling your friends to vote for you. It's just rude and totally not cool.
[*] Do not vote for yourself. I will check. ;)
[*] Icons must be usable on LJ - 100x100 pixel size and 40kb file size
[*] Please don't take any of the contest icons without the creator's permission.
[*] Only 1 icon for each challenge unless it's stated otherwise
[*] There may be challenge specific rules posted when the challenge is posted
Submissions
[*] Join the community to participate! If you're not a member, you can't win!
[*] Make sure to upload your icons to a place that allows direct linking. Photobucket is a good place to check out.
[*] Post your entry to the challenge post in the comments. All comments will be screened so only you and I will see your entry.
[*] When responding with your submission, please include the img src AND URL as shown below:

Timelines
[*] New challenges will be posted on late Friday night/early Saturday morning. This is ALWAYS subject to change
[*] Deadline for icons will be posted with the challenge - usually the Friday two weeks from then - again subject to change.
[*] The icons will be up to vote following the challenge close
[*] Voting deadlines will be posted with the voting post
Voting&Results
[*] The number of icons to be voted on will vary with each challenge. Watch the challenges for more info.
[*] Voting will be in the form of screened comments.
[*] If you don't vote, your icons will automatically be disqualified.
[*] You must vote in BOTH challenges for your vote to be counted.
[*] If you vote for yourself, NONE OF your votes will be counted.
[*] 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded if there are enough entries. Mod's choice will be awarded as the mods see fit.
[*] Banners will be made for each place awarded.
