CSI: Miami

CSI:Miami; Miami Confidental

I have seen better shows. And this season is the weakest of the shows. Though the sixth season has had its moments, I wished that it went back to straight investigating and not investigate too much of the crew's personal lives. Here they investigate a corrupt FBI agent who has slept with informants in the past. As a young woman, who was also an informat, was found dead. As they try to pen it on him. H usually who has great one-liners. Doesn't have his one-liners which was missed in the episode by me. But hopefully they will get back to doing that and come back after a weak sixth season showing so far of CSI Miami.

CSI: Miami; Guerillas In The Mist

I just love seeing imaginary people deal with imaginary situations and being imaginarily brave with it.

The whole idea of gun trafficking wasn't bad. As I watched the first scene where the gun dealers were just being vaporized. I thought it was LOST for a moment (you know, the bad black smoke killing people). It was disturbing seeing people being vaporized by this gun. Especially in the beginning when you didn't know it was a gun.

This episode was back and forth, and very confusing. The first murders appeared to be by arms dealers, then come to find out it was customs sanctioned, then it wasn't, then it was - contracted out to this company. The gun is illegal, and didn't exist, then it did. It was bought and stolen, or was it stolen then bought? Or was it just stolen, then stolen, then was being sold - or stolen. The whole "immunity under the Patriot Act" was a bit disturbing. I hope these things aren't happening. Government sanctioned killings aside, that gun was scary and impractical.

When Horatio shot the guy at the end, I laughed. Of course, H would survive his Hummer getting blown up. Of course he would get out all cooly while it was on fire and get to a safe distance before it explodes. Of course he would not have a scratch on him, and he would not even be winded from nearly getting killed. But the fact that H just points and shoots - it was kind of out of character and made me giggle. Eric's whole PTSD fit was predictable. Eric and Calleigh share a moment, but it's predictable. Those two are not going to get together - and if they do it will be a disaster. There is NO chemistry there! None. They are just really good friends even though Eric would like it to be more.

As always though, Miami seems to wrap things up too quickly, and I feel robbed of longer plots. The show started with eerie music, and one of the best murder scenes I've seen on a TV show! Vaporizing guns!! Are they real? I don't want to know, it does make for good TV though. After that the show was typical Miami, slimy criminals, Wolfe sniffing around, and possible shady cops. I'll just rewind the first three minutes over and over again. And like Miami, I have come to a quick finish.

CSI: Miami; CSI: My Nanny

Definetly a filler episode. Not the most original. Jealousy between nannies, parents misunderstanding children, blah, blah, blah. Maybe not the best script itself but it got me longing for a villa in Miami! LOL!

On the other hand a drama in a 'fairytale world' has already been played before so the storyline is definitely unoriginal. Funny how people just have children and they don't get involved in raising them up. Just think that other people are going to take care of it. The episode is a nice reminder that.

The ending was ever so lame. The nanny was killed by her ex boyfriend who turns out to be a caterer. It turns out that he was miffed that she would rather help raise someone elses children than have kids of her own with him. The writers clearly need to get more creative with their storylines. Miami seems to be running out of interesting plots which is sad since the show used to thrive on action and interesting plots.

This episode is easily forgettable.

CSI: Miami; Stand Your Ground

Not a bad episode! Definitely a season favorite.

I loved the scene at the beginning with Eric and Calleigh sitting on the back of the ambulance. I was a little surprised yet happy when Calleigh got mad at Jake for the drinks! I did not expect they would be his and that she would relate it back to her father.

I just assumed that Eric had found the bullet and clearly that's not what happened! I'm happy that it was him since I like the whole Jake/Callie dynamic.

The mystery wasn't bad. It kept me pretty interested throughout the whole show. The fact that they had to put the drugs in candy to make it appeal to kids is very (Fill In Blank). I feel sorry for Logan, he seems like a good kid, all he wanted was a pair of shoes. But it also seemed like his parents had money so he could have asked them for a pair of new shoes. He didin't need to sell drugs.

I honestly thought that the attack on Calleigh would be more a coming after cop Calleigh and not just after a witness to their crime. But it wasn't bad. Let's hope there's more 'good episodes' that are on par with this, up ahead.

CSI: NY

CSI: NY; Child's Play

They must be on a role because this is the third episode this season that I’ve seen and absolutely love. There was nothing special about the episode, but it was a very well written and it has humor, sympathy and tragedy in good doses.

The humor begins with the death of an entrepreneur of NY, who dies by exploding cigar. Meanwhile a young neighbor who knows Danny is shot during a robbery. Tragically he dies.

So what happens when you grow up and something in your life triggers the memory of a friend who died young? Most of us would do nothing, or at least just remember our dead friend. Yet there are those who would release that pent up rage and want vengeance on the person they thought caused their friends death

The plots of both are quite straightforward to follow. The usual twist takes us away from the obvious perpetrators as both turn out to be victims of circumstance more than anything else.

In the end, I ended up feeling sorry for both perps as well as the victims.

Very well written and an interesting episode. Let’s hope there are more to come from CSI: NY.

CSI: NY; The Thing About Heroes

Once again, they managed to capture my attention at the beginning of the show. Runaway train. I dare someone say that it wasn't interesting. Danny was SUPERDAN in the episode. Saving Flack, Stella, Lindsey and Hawkes lives. The only one who bothered to thank him was Stella. He didn’t have to save their lives.

I especially loved that Mac was able to solve the puzzle quickly. It just proves that he has some intelligence that he ignores at times.

When Flack and Mac were in the Chicago apartment, or Motel, struck me as odd. Did they just knock on the door and say to the person obviously living there, "Hey, may I take a look in here? Thirty years ago a friend of mine got killed right here. Thanks." I mean come on. I really appreciated Mac opening up to Don about what happened that started this chain of events. It showed they were friends as well as colleagues and it had my inner fangirl screaming. LOL!

Also, why does it seem that Flack is scared of Sinclair? Why does it seem like he’s hiding behind Stella when he sees Sinclair. Although I absolutely loved that Sinclair went in as well, with a vest. Shows that he's still a cop underneath all that politics B.S.

I feel sorry for Stella though. Every guy she either dated, or came in contact with outside of work, has a plan to kill her. I think that after this Stella may never trust a guy again. Why are they being so hard on Stella? At this rate the only men she’ll trust are those she works with closely. So if Danny is with Lindsay, Flack flirts with Angell, Sid is married and Adam has something with/for Kendall, that leaves us with Mac and Hawkes, and just because I like to go against the multitude I think I will begin to ship Hawkes and Stella. LOL!

Mac being classic Mac didn't shoot to kill. Who here besides me believes that it will come to bite him in the ass.

Now that the 333 stalker has been concluded, we're left to wonder about the femme fatale from Down the Rabbit Hole.

Here's something’s to think about:
*If there had not been a writers strike, would the 333 storyline have been continued until the end of the season like The Miniature Killer on CSI?
*My question is they introduced the anthrax trace why? We are all assuming that Drew killed the conductor but did he?
*Wouldn't this episode be better served as the finale since the 333 killer is meant to be plotline for this season much like last season with CSI LV.? Which makes me wonder is the story done yet.

CSI: NY; One Wedding and a Funeral

I think this episode was a redeeming one for this series even if it leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

The beginning was very good. I mean come on a brawl at a wedding that includes the whole wedding party. The bride finds the body but no one questions her. Why? The groom had an killer wound from a very original weapon. Pardon the pun. The only thing lacking for me was the fact that it was very straight forward. Nothing complicated or original besides the wound and the murder weapon. Also, it was totally eclipsed by the second case.

For the second case they had Lindsay and Stella working together because Stella found a box on top of her car. The box held pieces of a puzzle, which led to another puzzle box which held more evidence as to who was behind it. I mean who didn't guess that the puzzles had something to do with Mac after Stella said that they weren't connected to her.

I like that Stella accuses Drew about the puzzle because it shows that she recognizes that he might be a creepy stalker. But how dumb was she to bring evidence to his office. If he did have anything to do with the puzzles and the 333 thing than he has a plausible reason why his fingerprints might be on the pieces. Or to why they may have his prints on file? Then she freaking apologizes. I mean come on. She has really bad taste in men.

I would have preferred the entire episode focus on the puzzles. I found it interesting that the person sending them took a lot of time studying Mac. Where his first apartment was, where his first crime scene was located, where he got engaged. You can't Google for those bits of information. Either the killer had a grudge against Mac that started in Chicago or the mystery we have been watching somehow involves Mac's late wife, Clair. I love puzzles and a good mystery.

Unanswered Questions:
1. Why was there a fight at the wedding in the first place?
2. What happened to the lab techs? Is Adam the only one that he had to figure out the puzzles himself?

Random Post: How Many CSIs Can You Spot?

I've been sharing it with everyone today...

Hill Harper and Adam Rodriguez both make an appearance in this. I've never been a huge Harper fan, but he looks hot in this. Maybe I just think politics are sexy?

CSI: NY; Buzzkill

For a filler episode, it was quite good. While the episode didn't provide us with any new character developments or romance, it did give us the chance to see why the New York team manages to outshine CSI: Miami.

Drew is soooo creepy. Stella has the worst luck in men. As charming as he may be, I advise her to run for the hills. She really needs to go with her gut. Something's up with Drew.

The case about the girl being electrocuted in a martini glass but it wasn't the electrocution that killed her. It reminds me of the CSI episode Ending Happy where the obvious COD wasn't the actual cause of death. What is it with these recycled storylines?

An interesting way to die, via jelly fish. Very creative. Weird, but creative.

Mac seems to like black... Black shirt, again... Wardrobe isn't that good this season! Maybe they should invest less in technology, and more in actual clothing!

I don't really have anything else to say. It was obviously a filler episode a good one at that.

CSI: Miami; Permanent Vacation

CSI: Miami continues it's downward spiral this season with another episode that provides an answer to why good writers are important. This episode had me looking at my watch as it went awkwardly from scene to scene only to reveal an extremely obvious murderer. The long drawn out "shocking" final sequence was exactly the opposite of what they wanted us to feel. I knew what was going to happen and afterward I checked to make sure I actually hadn't seen this episode before and just forgot about it. Sure enough, the CSI: Miami writers did not prove me wrong. Bang! And with that, the best part of this episode finally came: the credits.

A few questions came up upon reviewing the episode. First, why did they make the family canadian? I was curious at first. Maybe the murderer had a hatred of all things canadian? Were they connected to a case in Canada? Was this prelude to Bruckheimer's next series,
CSI: Calgary? No! It was to make canadians look like a bunch of rude, dysfunctional, fornicating, gun toting murderers. What? Secondly, what was with Dean Cain's (playing the canadian father) weird overacting? The "you wished it was me father-son" angle was poorly acted, out of place and has been used in a thousand other bad plots. The only reason a rational person would act like this is if they had something to do with the murder. This would have been cool. But nooooooo. I had to suffer through that scene for nothing.

One blessing this episode: No Kyle. However, this only makes me fear the return to that disaster of a plot. The only reason why I return every week is to see just how far this show will fall. Hopefully after the strike the writers will get to work and bring this show back from its coma.
