Welcome to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} csi_bigbang, a community that challenges you to write a 15K story in the span of a few months, and have accompanying graphics to it. We have a few simple rules, so please read them carefully: | General: 1 - To participate you must fill out the appropriate form (writer, graphics artists/vidders, beta or cheerleader). You are allowed to sign up for more than one thing (ie. you can sign up as a writer and a beta). Writers: 1 - This must be a brand new fic. Works in progress are not allowed; however, you can choose to expand upon an idea you've already written about, or write a sequel to a fic you've already written. 2 - We allow crossovers within the franchise, so you may write each individual show as well as CSI/CSI: Miami, CSI/CSI: NY, CSI: Miami/CSI: NY and CSI/CSI: Miami/CSI: NY. We do not allow crossovers with other shows. 3 - Up to two people may write a single fic for the challenge. No more than two people to a fic, though. 4 - There are two check-ins, and if you do not check in at those times you will not be allowed to finish your participation in the challenge. Graphic Artists/Vidders: 1 - You must make at least one graphic or video for each fic you take on. You are more than welcome to make more, but there is a one graphic or video minimum. 2 - If you are inclined, you may make a fanmix for the fic. You still must include a graphic, however. Betas & Cheerleaders: 1 - No bashing of fics. Constructive criticism only. --- The schedule is as follows: Sunday, March 1 - start sign-ups (this goes on for two weeks) Sunday, March 15 - writing starts Sunday, March 15 - graphic artist/vidder/beta/cheerleader sign up begins Tuesday, March 31 - writers sign-ups end Sunday, April 12 - first check in (5K), start pairing artists/vidders with writers Sunday, May 10 - second check in (10K), betas assigned Sunday, June 7 - rough draft due (15K). (12 weeks of writing) Sunday, June 28 - beta'd draft due to authors. Sunday, July 12 - final draft due Monday, July 13 - fics are posted to the community (since community is moderated, the posts will be staggered out starting from that date) --- We have a sister community, csibigbang_vent, for the use of writers while they are working on their fics, and graphics artists/vidders while they are working on their graphics/videos. We encourage you to make use of the community, and for cheerleaders to join as well. | ||
