Kathryn Hahn participates in The Elephant Project for charity

The Elephant Project is an organization to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association, which I started after my grandfather passed away from Alzheimer's disease. There is a phrase that says "elephants never forget," and in the fight against Alzheimer's disease, we are striving for those affected by the disease to "never forget." I have worked hard to get well-known celebrities to pose with an elephant beanie baby and sign a special Elephant Project card, which are then auctioned off to raise money to fight Alzheimer's disease. Each auction package comes with an 8x10 picture of the celebrity and the elephant, a signed card from that celebrity, and an elephant beanie baby. Such celebrities as Zac Efron, Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner, Julie Andrews, and MANY more have participated in the project. Currently, over $11,500 has been raised for Alzheimer's care, research and support!

http://www.elephantproject.org

Kathryn participated in the Elephant Project and her auction is currently on eBay!
Official Season 1 DVD Release Date is May 6th!

Crossing Jordan - Official Announcement for May Release of Jordan's 1st Season DVDs!

A bit later than expected, but lots of extras are included!
Posted by David Lambert
1/30/2008

This past October we reported that the long-awaited DVD release of Crossing Jordan - Season 1 was finally coming in the "1st Quarter of 2008", even narrowing it down to "February" in an update a few days later. However, we cautioned you that the schedule was still subject to change, and indeed it did! With February here in just a couple of days, the title is only just now getting announced this morning, and the official release date given is May 6th.

Jill Hennessy, Miguel Ferrer (whose Bionic Woman was also announced for DVD today) and Jerry O'Connell (who doesn't appear until the 11th episode) star in the six-season run of the cop show created and exec produced by Tim Kring Heroes, co-exec produced by Allan Arkush (Heroes) and David Amann (Without a Trace), and also co-produced for a time by Damon Lindelof (Lost). Music was done by Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin, who currently provide the music for Heroes but are better known among 80s music fans as being Prince's "Wendy and Lisa"! Among the guest stars you'll see during Crossing Jordan's first season's 23 episodes are Howard Hesseman, Amy Aquino, Chris Noth, K Callan, Andrea Martin, Robert Picardo, Steven Culp, Carl Reiner and Jack Klugman!

Crossing Jordan - Season 1 will come on 5 DVDs running 1019 minutes, and costing $59.98 SRP. Video will be Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) and audio is listed as English Dolby Digital 2.0, with English subtitles. A nice list of bonus material is included:

* Deleted Scenes
* A Conversation with series Creator, Tim Kring, Producer/Director Allan Arkush and Producer Dennis Hammer
* Jill Hennessy and Allan Arkush talk about Jordan
* "Pilot" Commentary with Creator Tim Kring, Producer/Director Allan Arkush and Composers Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin
* "Miracles & Wonders" Commentary with Creator Tim Kring, Producer/Director Allan Arkush and Composers Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin
* "For Harry, With Love and Squalor" Commentary with Creator Tim Kring, Producer/Director Allan Arkush and Composers Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin
* Steve Valentine, Ravi Kapoor and Kathryn Hahn talk with Allan Arkush
* Allan Arkush and Tim Kring talk with Miquel Ferrer
* "Secrets & Lies - Part 2" Commentary with Creator Tim Kring, Producer/Director Allan Arkush and Composers Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin

Box art isn't available yet, but stay tuned and we'll bring that to you as soon as we get it! As great as Las Vegas episodes are, Crossing Jordan fans will be glad to finally see Jordan and Woody on DVD with action in Boston, instead of at the Montecito...which was the only way to see them up until now. And we're sure Las Vegas fans will be interested in the crossover episodes that began in Crossing Jordan's fourth season. It will be awhile before we get that far in, but stay tuned!

SOURCE

All I can say is...
DVDs - Feb 2008?

Another update from tvshowsondvd.com:

Fan Bumps Into Studio Publicity Chief, Pumps Him For Info, Posted by David Lambert, 10/31/2007

Recently we broke the news that Crossing Jordan - Season 1 will come to DVD at last, in the first quarter of 2008. Now word on the street - literally! - is that the first season of the Jill Hennessey-starring show will be on store shelves in February. Thanks to a reader named Yvonne (who didn't supply her last name, but describes herself as an avid fan of the show), we have that information because she bumped into John Miller, Chief Marketing Officer for NBC Universal Television Group, while meeting a friend for lunch at NBC. She couldn't resist asking Miller for release dates on all six seasons, which he couldn't give since only one season is scheduled so far.

But Miller did ask his assistant on-the-spot to get Yvonne the release date for the first season set. Miller not only provided the "Feb. 2008" timeframe, but also advised Yvonne that NBC/Universal is now shooting what he called "inserts" for the DVD...which we take it means the bonus material. What are those extras? Well, fortunately Yvonne is such an avid fan that she also exchanged e-mails with show creator Tim Kring (Heroes) a few months ago! Tim revealed to her that he and show Director Allan Arkush were completing some commentary tracks this past August for the set. So we've got that to look forward to as well. Stay tuned for more info, as soon as we can get it.

SOURCE

I'll keep updating as I see the news coming in..

At the beginning of this year, we passed along word from the show's NBC official Producers' Blog that music clearances were in the works, and that DVDs would hopefully be coming in May. Since then, though, there's been nothing further about a potential DVD release...until now!

Although the folks at Universal Studio had no comment when we asked about this, our retail sources are telling us that Crossing Jordan will finally get a Season 1 DVD set in The 1st Quarter of 2008. That's not what we normally categorize in the "rumor" category; it's pretty solid as far as these things go. Still, it IS early info, and not officially announced by the studio, so keep in mind that it's all subject to change. Things are looking good, though, so stay tuned and we'll let you know more whenever we get it!

SOURCE

I really hope the dvds are coming out sometime soon!

So I know I haven't been the best community owner -- I tend to let the community just do its own thing and that's why there's not a whole lot of traffic.

Regardless, I am the community owner and I was just wondering what everyone was feeling about where this community should go after the last CJ airs this week? Do you want the community to still exist, or shall I delete it into oblivion? So to answer that question, I have made a poll:

View Poll: Crossing Jordan Community
