Newbie
Hello there :)
I was a lurker, then a reader, now an occasionnal poster of this community XD
I've been stitching for 24 years now (I'm almost 29), on and off during some periods. Not only cross stitching, I like stitching in many different ways (can we post projects done in something else than cross stitches if cross stitching projects are included in said post?).
Right now I'm really into DMC Yasuko Abe's designs. I have 5 designs of her (one down, 4 to go).
And I recently discovered Calico Crossroads's Kats by Kelly. I'm totally in love with those. I just did two in 18 hours to give to my mom. They're really easy to make.
I'll post pictures once I can upload them, maybe next week when I come back home.

I stitch on anything but I really prefer aïda and linen.
My favorite needle is a sharp medium one. I've never used a thimble.
99% of the things I did were for others. So I own very few of what I stitched. I decided that had to change, so I now try to stitch for myself :)

Welcome!! Good for you making an attempt to stitch for yourself! I know that many of us get caught up in making gifts for others and forget to keep something every once in a while. I definitely welcome any pictures of other types of embroidery... I am looking to get into some different stitches so seeing other's work is definitely inspirational!

You are quite welcome to add other work you are doing - lots of other people have :D Especially stitchery - often though people will title it - so people know that it isn't cross stitch.
