Desiderata
I have finished the words to the Desiderata


 











and was thinking about adding a border down each side. Any ideas about a Celtic/Swirly sort of border? Maybe a free one someone has found - if you have any recommendations. Or should I leave it as is?

So far the Desiderata is stitched over one on 27 count Laguna (I believe).  On cream and DMC colour 309.

I think it should have a border. It seems a little bare as-is. As simple as the design is, a set of off-set X's might work. rather like this Dolly Mama's pattern in the same shade of red as the text.

I'm wondering if a simple blackwork border might work. Something to match the Gothic feel of the script, but light so as to not draw away from the words.

That was my original thought, but I am having issues finding one that is just right...

Thanks. I am trialling a border at the moment, and post pictures to see what people think. I have gone simple, and spent a couple of hours on it, so if I pull it undone, no great waste....

Very much a lot of words... but it is one of my favourite poems...
