Dragon finish, WIP, Stash
I bought some things off ebay, and needed to finish my WIP Dragon and the snow leopards before I can start it :D

So here are some close ups of my dragon with all the backstitch in place.

	It does look that way.. Almost identical to the pictures on the website. But it has no indication that it is on or in the packaging. So I will make it up and see if it really looks the same. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	I am claiming ignorance... I just thought it was a pretty design, and have no access to a good LNS here (the only craft shops we have are quilting ones), so buy stuff randomly off eBay. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Nah, I'm not going to accuse you of doing anything intentional. Not at all!!! Go to mirabilia.com and take a look and see if they're similar. If so, maybe avoid the bad guys in the future and aim for the good guys. Sites like ebay do make it harder. 	I am looking forward to it. It is a bigger project (not HAED big by any standards, but bigger than any I have completed before), so hopefully will keep me entertained for a while. But must finish current WIPs first. Which hopefully won't take too long. (Reply to this)(Parent)

If the Mirabilia wanted to, they (she) could report it to eBay and they WOULD get taken down. I don't think you or I can do a thing about it. Mirabilia is terrible about responsing or bothering, though, but apparently the "company" is in some sort of turmoil as well as switching distribution to Wichelt so no one hears anything... and no one at Mirabilia responds and the thiefs continue to get away with it!

Not sure about the USA but there are several people selling similar designs on eBay unfortunately.. so it would probably mean a fair bit of chasing up, however, after looking at the mirabilia website, it looks like only her designs have really been targeted.

L&L, HAED, and Teresa Wentzler's charts and kits are all sold in their original format/packaging, so maybe they have better follow up with the copyrighting? I know there was some discussion about copyright and sharing patterns before...

	Thanks. It was an interesting experience as the majority of it has blending filament, which looks pretty, but is extremely annoying to work with. (unlike embroidery floss, it stretches, snaps and fluffs) (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	This is why the dragon got abandoned to the bottom of a cupboard for about 4 years :D But I decided 2008 is my year of finishing things before starting anew, so it was completed. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Terrible stuff isn't it??? but it does look so good when it is done! So if you are determined enough (or patient, but for me it was determination!) you can work with it... Unfortunately when I gave up on the dragon 4 years ago I had done half of it with filament, so I had to finish it with one. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Thanks. I will frame it eventually. I bought everything off ebay. I find if you keep your eyes open people sell all sorts of things at fairly good prices - i paid $11 including p&h for the evenweave. Sleeping beauty is on 14 count. Not sure of the finished size, but overall design is 240x260 count. Should keep me entertainied for a while:D (Reply to this)(Parent)
