"free" Old Cross Stitch magazines/pattern pamphlets
My Dad brought over a box of my Mom's old cross stitch and crafts stuff yesterday. I already sent him back with 2 macrame books and 2 needlepoint books to take with all the books he doesn't want to the Library. Now I have a big pile of cross stitch projects and pamphlets. I will probably keep the stockings, baby bibs, and the Millhill ornament kits, and a few of the magazines had projects I may be able to take on one day. But I have quite a number of them that I'll likely never use or do. So before I throw them out on E-bay I thought I'd let you all claim any you may want. Later tonight I can take pictures and throw them up on Flickr or something so you can see them if you want to see something specific, but for now here's the list of things I'll probably give away. I'd just ask you cover the cost to ship it to you, or if you want to trade something you think I'd like that'd work too I guess.

I would like the beatrix potter birth sampler and the peter rabbit counts book... I assume they are both pattern books?

(I have a lot of friends who are procreating lately, so those two won't go astray!)

I will send you a message on livejournal with my e-mail address, and/or you can message me on livejournal with yours.

ETA: I should have also said that I am happy to paypal you for the cost of shipping, or else to send you some floss or other patterns I have that you may be interested in. Maybe you could post some kind of a wishlist of things you may want?

I think my husband has a paypal from selling some camera equipment on ebay. The birth sampler is finished size:
count finished size
11 14 1/2" x 12 3/4"
14 11 1/2" x 10"
18 8 7/8" x 7 3/4"
22 7 1/4" x 6 3/8"

It has 6 characters on it with areas for name, date and weight.

The Peter Rabbit counts is numbers 0-9 with a different character for each number, then individual patterns for Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck, Benjamin Bunny, Hunca Munca, Mrs. Rabbit, and Tom Kitten.

I have a daughter but we did finding nemo so this stuff wouldn't go in her room ;) I love the Potter books so I figured this one would go fast.

I'm a super-beginner with cross stitch so I know I'd never use all these things. I like the Millhill kits, I have 3 Christmas ones and a few ornament ones from Mom. They are small and do-able for me, and I don't have to use one of the hoops to do it because its on a paper.

I am very interested in the above selections...I don't really have anything to trade at the moment so you'd need to let me know how much the shipping will be for these items. My zip code is 17321. Let me know if this is ok. Thanks so much. My birthday was yesterday and my husband still owes me a gift. I'll just make him pay the shipping... ;O}

I'll probably be going to the post office on Saturday.

Just to be sure you're aware, it isn't a cross stitch book.

sure, no one wants the bears ;) guess I'll keep those for possible baby gifts.

I hope to go to the post office this weekend. My husband has a paypal so once I send them out I'll e-mail or LJ message everyone with what the shipping costs were and his paypal account.
