I have 2 pictures to share! One is a little bookmark I did over the weekend and the, of course, a Fish City update!

I have  more details on these in my blog ([info]bethct), and since my laptop battery is about to go, please go there if you want details :)
04:00 pm - Hello, hello!
Sarah Wind
Bright good day to all!

I noticed this community a couple weeks ago, and reading through all the tips and seeing other people's projects really made me want to be a part of it!  So I set up my own livejournal and decided to join!

I've been stitching since 6th grade when my mom gave me a carousel horse to work on, and it was love from the first thread-pull!  I'm now 25 and stitch everything from bookmarks to large pieces to shirt accents.  I also recently discovered plastic canvas and just love making things that are more 3-D.  I'll post some progress pics once I get a chance to take a couple, but to check out some of my finished works, just visit my journal.  Like many on here, I stitch mainly for gift-giving purposes, but I definitely take time to make things for myself.  After all, I have lots of vacant wall space in my home to fill!

Anyway, I just wanted to kind of introduce myself and say that I am so excited to share my love of stitching with you all!  I especially look forward to seeing everyone else's work and learning some new tricks!
07:48 pm - I *heart* The Rocking Horse
star book

The Rocking Horse is my LNS.  It is a *wonderful* store.  The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, service-oriented.  They have so many models, I can’t tell you.  Every wall is covered in models–floor to ceiling.  There is no empty wall space.  The shop has two large front windows, both of which are always filled with seasonally current models.  They are always shifting models around. If you need inspiration, this is the place to find it.

Such is the power of The Rocking Horse.
