First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who replied to the thread in which I asked for help finding a pattern for this project. I'd been thinking about it for years, and all your assistance was greatly appreciated. Especial thanks to the person (you and I know who you are) who sent me the pattern.
I really enjoyed making this because a) the tree was all one colour - I couldn't use the wrong shade! b) no back stitch, only long stitch for the stars (in silver).
I stitched it on a fat quarter of 16 count navy aida, with about 2 skeins of DMC B2500 (for contrast) and one of the DMC silver threads. The image is 32x22cm (12.5x8.5 inches).
This one will be heading west across the Atlantic, so I'm already thnking of making one for myself.
