11:11 am - Zweigart pattern books
breast cancer, cross stitch
Bought a number of Zweigart pattern books recently, with some lovely patterns. I couldn't find any images from these books online, and only some very small images of the booklet fronts. So scanned some of the photos (not the actual patterns). I plan to do the poppies (not sure in what context yet, probably not a table cloth). I also plan to use the sailing alphabet to do things for my sons, both of whom are avid sailors. Not sure yet about the jewels. I love the patterns, but am not sure what context to do up a cross stitch work.

I am making this piece (VERY recently added stash splurge) but I swear I am having trouble galore. I guess I brushed off the whole easy thing because I've had to frog two rows because I used the wrong color! *kicks self*

I have the last bottom row to finish and back stitch around like four rows.

12:26 pm - Needles on planes?
STOP
Hey,

This is kinda random I know, but I'm going on holiday in 22 days. Flying from London Gatwick to Cyprus. 4 and a half hours, which could be perfect stitching time.
My mum said that I could take my things in my hand luggage.
I then read someone on here was planning on taking their stitching on a plane (not sure where from though) and somebody replied saying they haven't been able to take a needle on a plane for ages.

Does anybody know?

Stitchers
I just got a new DMC e-newsletter. It seems that they now have (or have partnered with) an upload-your-picture-and-we'll-convert-it-to-a-pattern service.

No endorsement here, I haven't tried it, but in the even anyone's interested. It is a pay-for service, so eh.
