stitching
I saw this link on a stitching blog and ooooooooo me likey! Look at these cooooooool patterns!

Birds of a Feather site

I am not that much of a cat person but I love the "Attack Cat" pattern [under Holidays] and the cat pattern with a broom that says "Too Many Treats" too! And I LOOOOVE the "Remember Me on Halloween" one. And the patterns under Seasons with the French names! Oh and I don't even like doing samplers but they have some GORGEOUS ones! I love the Peace sampler with the house on it.

AND they have stitching related notecards with their designs!

Very cool -- I love the primitive folk art look of these.

So, I promised myself that I would finish a particular project before I started a new one, right? But now I find that I am ready to throw said project off the eiffel tower and then burn it! So..... Should I just start my other project?  It may save me from shredding my current one, and It will only be my second open project (not like I have a hundred 1/2 finished projects in my stash--anymore...)

The problem with my second project is that I've got a 30" canvas to fit onto a 26" frame... the finished size of the project itself is 20x15. My canvas is 20x30. Could I baste both of the sides? Is cutting it an option?  I don't want to cut too close and have problems stretching and framing later on...  Perhaps I could turn it to the short side and make the 20" the width?  The pattern makes it appear that the finished project will be wider than it is long.   Problem is, the pic that the pattern gives me is not letting me see which side of the project is the longer side. They both look about the same... This is an ebay link to the pattern; mine is a different size, but at least you're able to see a picture.

Snowman
I have a few finishes here. I have three in total that I got done in time for Christmas but only two whoses pictures I've uploaded onto my computer.

I"m sorry the picture is blurry on that one.

And I did this daydreams for my mother for Christmas
I love doing Daydreams. They always end up looking so nice but they only take me a weekend to do!

The third one was for my sister and the Fourth and last Element  from the set I was doing for her. The pics are still in my camera. I will post once I load them.

I'm so glad to have the Elephant done. On to more projects just for me!
Everyone's work is looking amazing, I haven't had time to post or comment really recently but I have been checking out all the pictures! Everything is great!
Happy New Year Everybody!
02:38 pm - Nifty Color Table

I decided to give designing my own pattern a spin. I have a subject and I have a computer, but I have no chart generating software. And I'm not keen on buying any for my maiden voyage into the unknown. I do have plenty of image processing software, but then one needs a DMC to RGB conversion chart. Today I hit paydirt: http://www.csh.rit.edu/~vance/pages/color.html.
