I decided to cross post this to this community too, as I think it may be helpful for extremely allergic stitchers like I am and to those who don't have waste canvas at home, but who own pieces of linen and get some great idea which they have to actualize right away...

The other day I posted about my issues with sorting threads in a particular kit here.

I finally heard back from the company yesterday and they are sending me sample threads that have been labeled. I'm a little wary that this will actually help since 2 particular colors look identical to me but maybe there was a mistake and one thread was left out and really those are the same color? This might help at least narrow that down a bit.

I tried scanning them as a poster suggested but I apparently don't know enough about photo shop to be able to tell anything. Was worth a shot though so thanks for the idea!

Anyway, just wanted to update you all and thank everyone for all their suggestions. I'm sure I'll post again after I get the samples. :)

Now, those of you who own said Bucilla kit know that the instructions included involved various things like actual sewing and turning out and weird stuff. All well and good - heck, I was a seamstress in a former life - but the one I did like that came out...all lumpy. So I decided to purchase some red ribbon and improvise:
