04:41 am - new project progress pics
just dance
I'm so excited to finally have time for this again now that the semester is over! Here are the progress pics for my latest project. I started it Thursday night. I worked on it a lot cuz I was off since then, but now I'm not off again till this coming Thursday so I might not get as much work done in the next few days as I did this time. We'll see. Anyway, can anyone guess what it is going to be?

Edit: If you guessed The Last Supper, you're correct!

[info]alison_in_oh posted the links to the pattern I'm doing and also to the pattern of the original painting done by DaVinci in case you're interested! I'll repost them here if you don't want to scroll through the comments.

01:30 pm - Question
Me
Here's an interesting situation. I'm stitching along on my Fall Village scene and I just happen to glance at the front picture of the completed project. Well, the shaded side of the barn is a lighter color than I stitched. Thinking I misread the symbol I almost ripped out the stitches but then realized I had stitched the right color. The chart clearly says to stitch the shaded side the same color as the wagon. The wagon is dark brown. The side of the barn in the picture is like a dark gold color. Now the lighter color looks better but clearly this isn't what it's supposed to be and I don't know what color that is. In the picture the side of the barn is an obviously different color than the wagon, whereas in the chart it's the same. Now what do I do here? I emailed the company but haven't heard back yet. Just thought I'd ask around here.
08:07 pm - Request for framing help
Stitching World Cup
I've got a problem and need help. I finally finished all my Christmas gifts, and wanted to frame some of them correctly. So I bought Wood N Needle frames, cut the mounting board after a lot of measuring, fussing and scratched knuckles, then put two of the projects on them. I got the mounted work in the frames, and it looks fine from the front.

Problem: the edges aren't even thanks to the dull scissors I had to use, so I'm not sure how long the mounting board will stay in there. There's no backing to hold it in place, and the edges are too narrow to have pegs drilled into them. All I can think to do is put a big dollop of Elmer's glue or fabric glue to hold it in.

Am I worrying for nothing? Will the board stay in there without external help? Or should I try something else? And how does the person hang it with no hooks or notches on the frames?

TIA for any and all advice/help you can give!
