Follow-up!
Thank you to all you lovely people who responded to my question about whether or not to get the Lugana fabric for
"Dragons By The Fire". The majority of you said some variation on Yes Definitely, and I decided to listen. :-)
I found an online store which called it a "discontinued color" and had a 1/2 yard piece for $20.00. So I ordered that (enough for two projects this size!), the two spools of Kreinik braid that I couldn't find elsewhere, and a bottle of Thread Heaven to tame the Kreinik. Thanks for that suggestion too, I saw it in someone else's post!
Nothing more I can do till the fabric arrives. My one big fear at this point is that my eyes will give out before I can finish. Last time I did cross-stitch I didn't yet wear bifocals... ;-)
