Well my hormones gave me a bit of time out but are returning with a vengeance. The hot flushes are back and god knows when I will get my period again, not that I like them or am worried by their absence I just hate when I think one has arrived then nothing happens and I have to go through the whole overblown pmt thing again without a result or a loss of that pressure that builds up in me.

My first syptoms started when I was around 40 - 41, nothing over the top. Over the years I have noticed odd changes in my mood and body, some of it reminds me when I was first starting my periods when I was 11. I guess I can cope with the heavy periods even if sometimes it does mean taking a couple of days of work, what I am finding increasingly difficult to cope with is my hot flushes. I recall other women talking about them but no one ever told me there would be times where I would feel I was about to spontaeneously combust. I guess it's worse at night because it wakes me up, I kick the covers off and after a few minutes the cool air feels like it is burning my skin. I would say the only good thing about getting my period these days is that the hot flushes leave me alone for a few days.
