I got the Mason Dixon book not long ago and I've become obsessed with stuff from it. I knit a baby bib and intend to knit more of them.... Usually I'm not a big fan of garter stitch, but it has its uses.
I've also never in my dreams thought I'd want to knit a blanket. But I started a log cabin blanket to use up some of my scrap of Patons Wool. I just need to make room for the Peace Fleece that has exploded upon my yarn stash. I'm quite enjoying doing it and this way I get to keep just a bit of the projects I've done. Each color represents a finished sold project to me. =) It's kind of fun. Also I keep changing colors and it's coming out rather neat.
Also last week I went on a throwing things away spree and I threw out all my old finished objects that had things wrong with them or things that no one would ever want. It was all in the name of practice and it's nice not to have those things staring me in the face anymore. |

| Cabled vest |

I've been working on a cabled vest for my husband off and on. I was hoping to have it done before it got cold, but that didn't happen. I dropped some stitches in the cable. =( So I had a friend help me frog it, but now I have no idea what row I'm on. The back of the vest is miles and miles of stockinette so I'm working on that for now. I'd love to get it done before Christmas. |

After an 8 week or more hiatus I have returned. I've been working on some person things. I've started a top for myself. Lately I've been on a dishcloth kick. I've two different ones on needles right now. I'm going to start a vest for my hubby soon and I've got a little sweater in progress for my littlest one.
This does not mean that I'm not able to put those things aside and work on something for someone. I am opening back up for customs with the expectation that I'm not quite as fast as I used to be. I'm getting there, but not quite yet. Your object should be in your hand though 2 weeks after I start.

I'm a beta tester for the new site Ravelry and have been spending WAY too much time playing with it. I've been adding projects and yarn to my lists pretty regularly and once they open up you should be able to see most of things I've knit over there. |

This is the reason why things have gotten slow. My little girl is here now. She was about 2 weeks early, but everything is totally fine. I got the VBAC I wanted and I feel good.

I'm hoping today will not be as ridiculously busy as the last 4 days of my life have been. I greatly apologize to everyone. Today may be a tad bit busy, but it should drop off after that. Tomorrow we have some time in the car, so I should have some crochet time to work on cerise_blue's shorties.
But the good news is that we put in an offer on a house and we will be moving in the beginning of July (yes with a one month old...)
So what I'm going to do probably as much as I hate to is I will probably close for customs from June 1-July 31st. That does NOT mean that I won't be knitting and crocheting, but it means I can't promise anything in a reasonable length of time, so would rather not be committed to making something.
I will still accept custom orders up until June 1 (I'm not due till June 14th) as long as it's with the understanding that we are trying to get our house on the market and a few things packed up before the baby gets here and I'm not going to be as quick as normal getting stuff done.
color_so_loud, I started the bunny and I LOVE the color...it's adorable. I need to take a picture. It reminds me of raspberries and cream. It is very soft and perfect for sucking on. However...it is smaller than the other ones I have made, but it's still going to be about 12" from the bottom of the blankie to the top of the head. If that is too big I can start over. Let me know. It goes REALLY quick, so it's not a big deal to pull it out and start again. I know you wanted something more like 9" or 10" |

frootijen I need to know what you think of the leg cuff as I did it. I didn't know how else to describe it. It's just plain garter stitch If you don't like it, I can do a ribbing across the bottom instead or even a rolled edge. Let me know and I'll try and get the other leg finished up today.
cerise_blue I'm still working on your shorties as well obviously. I have about 10 inches of your rise done. I can take a picture if you like, but there isn't much to see at this point. I have done a little bit of shaping in the bottom.
color_so_loud I haven't forgotten about you or your bunny. I have some really pretty pink (cotton) mottled yarn that I am going to put together with white (also cotton, but very soft microfiber). It's gonna be pretty soft and would be fine for a baby to suck on. As soon as I finish the shorties for frootijen, I'll start on the bunny. I should be able to start and finish it by the end of next week. I hope you don't mind holding onto that diaper for me. =) |

I've been very busy over the past couple days and not getting as much knitting/crocheting time as usual. We are thinking about putting our house on the market and moving VERY soon. Add this to having a 2 year old and being 34 weeks pregnant and you end up with a tired me.
Here's where we stand as of right now.
frootijen, your shorties are just finished up the rise...whew that was a long rise.... and I'm getting ready to do the gussets and split for the legs. I was thinking maybe make the legs no more than about 2.5" so they won't hang down below his knees. Let me know if you want them longer than or if his knees are farther down than that.
cerise_blue, your shorties have about 4" done on the rise. I'm getting there, but haven't had as much time to work on them. I can't crochet in the dark I'm finding (but I can knit in the dark while I'm waiting for my son to go to sleep...go figure) So they are coming along slowly but surely. Let me know when you get the skirt and I would love to see some pictures in action if you would like to share them. =) |

This is my community so I figured I can post my own for sale stuff here if I want....hehe. Maybe someone will actually want it here.

I also have a white v1.0 Bumgenius. It's a little dingy, which again I'm not sure why. I'm the second owner of this diaper. I can take a picture if needed. I just keep it in my car because my toddler can get it off partially because it's too small, so it's a backup. It has one very small stain inside from Boudreaux Butt Paste. *sigh* I have worked very hard on this stain with some dawn and a toothbrush, so it is very minimal. $8ppd add $1 if you want me to include a cottonbabies insert with.
I have a Winnie the Pooh diaper bag that is free for shipping or if you buy something else I'll throw it in if you want.
I also have a Large Motherhood maternity long sleeve maroon shirt that is too big for me. It's brand new and I'd like $8 or make me an offer. I can take a picture if needed.
If you would rather do a trade I'm looking for small fitteds or AI2s. |

Most of you should know, but I am expecting a little girl in mid June. This by no means will affect my customs lists, etc except for MAYBE a week. Right now I have a lot of time on my hands until then.
I'm also trying to stock up on small/newborn diapers (probably more smalls than newborn because my kiddos don't come out small...or at least my first one wasn't). I'm mostly looking for fitteds and AI2s.
Anyway...I don't have a lot of cash for the diapers, so any of you ladies that know people who are trying to sell off small stuff and use wool, PLEASE feel free to refer them over here for some type of trade. I am always open to trades. |

I want to do another dishcloth for myself, but I haven't decided what kind of stitch pattern I want to do. I know how big I want it and which yarn I want to use, but I haven't decided what kind of stitch I want...just something that won't get lost in the variegated yarn. |

Here is the finished (well minus the drawstring) skirtie for cerise_blue . I am pretty amazed at how long this took me, but it took almost 2 whole skeins of yarn when normally something that size would have just taken one, so I guess it makes sense that it took twice as long as normal.
frootijen is up next. I still have a toddler pair of shorties to make for cerise_blue, but I need to get to frootijen because she was first, we were just waiting on her yarn. I think I can actually work on them both at the same time.... because one is knit and the other one is crochet (and I can't ever focus on one project at once anyway...HAHAHA.)
So I'm ready for you frootijen. =) Do you like a ribbed waistband or do you know? What other kinds of wool do you have, so I can kind of figure out what you prefer? |

I couldn't resist adding ruffles....Let me know if you don't like them and I can take them out easily and just do a simple cuff.
Here is what it looks like so far, before I decrease a little bit for the waist to be a tad smaller. Then I'll add the skirt.
I need to know though...cerise_blue, do you want me to add an inch to the rise (1/2" in the back 1/2" in the front) to make sure it will fit for a while? |

I've finished the actual soaker part, so it's totally gray, but totally cute. Once I get the pink edging done I'll take a picture of what the soaker looks like with some pink on it before I start adding on the skirt. Should be ready to start the skirt on it tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get a picture posted tomorrow.
frootijen, The Peace Fleece is here, so technically you were first and I can stop this one start on yours once you get me measurements and such. If you aren't ready yet, that's fine, just let me know. The Peace Fleece is actually at a friend's house and I probably won't be able to go pick it up until Monday or Tuesday. |
