Aqua Aloha Top help
Hi everyone!
I need a bit of help understanding this pattern. I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to do here and it shows up a lot in the pattern.
Foundation Row: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in sixth ch from hook (shell made, beginning ch counts as dc); [ch 4, skip next 4 ch, shell in next ch] 0 (1, 0, 1) time; *ch 3, skip next 3 ch, sc in next 5 ch, ch 3, skip next 3 ch, shell in next ch, ch 5, skip next 5 ch, shell in next ch; repeat from * 2 (2, 3, 3) more times, ch 3, skip next 3 ch, sc in next 5 ch, ch 3, skip next 3 ch, shell in next ch; [ch 4, skip next 4 ch, shell in next ch] 0 (1, 0, 1) time; skip next ch, dc in next ch, turn—8 (10, 10, 12) shells.

Help!!!!
Hi guys!! I've been a lurker for a while. I love to crochet, but I've never really gotten into doing anything other than REALLY basic blankets... until now that is. I'm working on the brim part of this pattern, (I got it from one of the posts on this community actually) and I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do once I hit row 13. It says "(1 sc in the next 4 sc, 2 sc tog)." Now, what I don't understand is the "2 sc tog". In the pattern abbreviations it says tog = together... but what the heck do I do to have 2 single crochet together?!?! At first I thought it meant to have 2 sc in the same hole, but that would then mean there would be more stitches in this row than the last and the stitch count for that row is less than the one before. My brain hurts. I've tried searching on youtube for anything but I'm finding zilch. Someone help a girl out? Please??? I'd like to have this finished by tonight so I can wear it to a b-day party tomorrow. :) Thanks in advance!! Tags: hat, pattern, stitch help Current Mood: confused

suggestions?
Howdy :)
I hope this is an easy one, because my google-fu has been weak this morning. I'm trying to find a pattern to crochet an argyle sweater. So far, I've found books that no longer exist and several knitting patterns. Can any of you point me towards a crochet pattern or a good place to find one? Are there any pattern books you can recommend that have an argyle sweater?
Thanks so much! Tags: books, pattern

My Asphyxiation
I finally finished the choker I've been working on. I wish I had tried it on sooner as I was making it instead of following the instructions to the letter. At first it ended up being way to big for my scrawny neck and I had to take the last motif apart to make it fit. I really didn't like that idea. I have to work on the closure too. I used some hooks that end up showing very easily and don't look right when they do. It also starts to bunch up on one side from the slight tension. Here's where I got the pattern if anyone wants to make their own. Asphyxiation choker from www.theanticraft.com ~ I also put some pictures up of the joining process for each motif on my Ravelry page, I didn't see anything like that on the site itself and it bothered me. You have to be a member of Ravelry to see them though. crossposted to craftygoths Tags: i made this, necklace, pattern

Petrie--x posted all over
I actually wrote down the pattern this time. I can't belive I managed to write my own pattern. This probably sounds lame, but I have always wanted a nice big collection of pattern that I could sell or maybe even put in my own crochet book. I guess I can say I have one down :) Meet Petrie: Tags: amigurumi, pattern

Pattern Translation
Hey everybody! I’m fairly new to the community and have not yet posted anything, as I’ve been conquering my latest project in scrapbooking. Afterwards I am making a few amigurumi bears. However, I caught site that hats are really hot right now - or at least for the making. I’d love to crochet this hat but the pattern is in British-English, whereas I’m American. I know their crochet terms are different. Anybody know of a free pattern for a hat that’s quite like that one? I’m too lazy to “transliterate” right now :-P (Background: Crocheted as a youngster with grandma, but stopped. Recently picked it up and am more actively crocheting amigurumi. Have made one afghan, and two amigurumi’s. Knitting is not my friend.) Tags: pattern

Seeking a Pattern!
Hey! Didn't know if anybody would be able to help me... it's my friend's birthday coming up and I've found a great pattern of a Moomin on Etsy to make a few for her. I just bought it, yay, am just waiting for the seller to email it through to me. I thought that to go with it I'd love to make her a Snufkin as well, but searches have come up fruitless :( Does anybody know where I'd be able to find a pattern from, or know of any similar pattern that I could edit slightly to make it suit? I'm fairly new to crochet and although I can follow patterns themselves really well, I'm not very good at making up my own yet. In case you don't know who Snufkin is (how dare you!) here's a picture: Thanks for any help you can give!! OdetoKeats xxx Tags: amigurumi, pattern, pattern help, patterns

Baby Bunting!
I found this pattern when searching through my old magazines for something to do and dont ever remember seeing it before, and it was too dang cute to not try to do. Dont mind the creepy doll. Its my daughters and fits in 3mo clothing so its perfect for modeling. It looks blue but its actually like a puple-ish colour. I added a few rows and made a car seat hole. Cause whats the point of a bunting without being able to use in a carseat?! lol
