moms day gifts
I finally finished my mother's day presents for my mom and my would-be mother-in-law!  yea!

Angie's Spa Set

The set was cobbled together from several patterns, but it's all done in Patons Grace, in Ginger and Spearmint.  The bath puff and back scrubber were made with a strand of each held together.

Here's a close up of the special stitches I used.

The stitch for the washcloth was from the pattern.  I just added a border.  For the bath mitt, I wanted to try out the rosebud stitch.  I like it, but i ran out of the solid color and had to use the variegated, which obscures the stitch.  i adapted the pattern from one for knitting, and created the border from the stitch used for the wash cloth.  i think it came out very nicely

I made a wrap from Loop-d-loop crochet for my mom.  Unfortunately, the weather's all wrong for this sort of gift, but i'm pleased with the results and hope my mom will like it.

oops! i wrapped it before i remembered to photograph it, so i'll have to get pix when mom opens it.

the gift on top is actually for my brother, who is moving into his first apartment this weekend.  i'll get pix of that one too when it's unwrapped.

Love your stitching! Great idea for a set, and for a mother's day present. :)

Thanks! WBMIL emailed me this morning (I was with my mom, and my partner was with his mom) gushing about it. :) made me feel pretty good!
