Crochet Rose Instructions~ New and Improved
It has taken me longer than I anticipated to get these up, please forgive. That and the pictures that I took are kinda blurry in places, but they are good enough to get the point across I think. Good Luck, and please let me know how they turn out.

Requires~

Worsted Weight Yarn in preferred color
Size G (4.00mm) hook

Ch 5, slst to join ring.
SC 10 in ring, join w/ slst, ch1.

DC 1 in ea SC around, join w/ slst.
This makes the cup of the flower.

Flip the cup over. On the back you will notice that there is a ring of loops that are free. Slst to those loops.

Once that ring has been reached and you have slst into it, ch 3. Sk 1, slst, ch3, sk1, slst, ch 3 and so on around.

This should give you five ch 3 loops on the back of the cup.

Flip the cup with loops over towards you, and

In each ch 3 loop:
1sc, 1hdc, 2dc, 1hdc, 1sc
Slst to join petals.

The first row of petals is now complete.

SlSt into back of petal, to the middle.

Ch 4, slst to back of next petal, ch4, and so on. You should have five ch 4 loops when done.

In ea ch 4 loop:
1sc, 1hdc, 2dc, 1tr, 2dc, 1hdc, 1sc. slst to join petals.

Either finish off, or increase petals by repeating ch/petal sequence, just increasing the amount of chains and the amount of stiches to fill in each ch space. play with petal placement by adjusting where you start your ch's on the backs of the previous petals. Play with the shape of the petals by increasing and decreasing steps between stiches...like 1 hdc, 2tr, 2dc, 1hdc, making more uneven and therefore realistic petals.
