| About: | A place for like-minded Christians to discuss various aspects of being crunchy! The primary purpose of this community is to provide people from a Christian worldview with a forum for discussion and civilized debate/learning for natural living/parenting. You do not have to agree with or employ all the aspects of "crunchy" living to join or participate, but realize that we are: Pro-Jesus Christian Pro-Breastfeeding Pro-Healthy living We realize this looks different for different people and families. Therefore we welcome different viewpoints and practices that you may have, if you keep in mind that this community leans toward all things 'natural.' We also expect the following: 1. This is a Christian community. If you are not a Christian, this is not the place for you. There are many other wonderful communities where you may find interesting discussion related to natural living topics; we respectfully suggest you check those out. 2. All membership is subject to approval a. Approval is based on proof of a living relationship with Jesus Christ as per the generally agreed upon doctrines of Christianity as well as evidence of an interest in things natural. This is ascertained by looking at your user info, interests, friends, communities, entries, icons, etc. This is also an anti-snark community. Presence in snark communities may keep you from being added. b. Other things that can keep you from being added: No entries/interests/bio (to keep away the 'bots'); offensive icons; offensive or hateful language; bad reputations in other communities. 3. Entries are automatically locked as of 5/25/05. In addition, please tag your entry in the 'tag' section with your username and a tag descriptive of the entry. 4. We must remember to treat our Christian brothers and sisters with love and respect. Aside from the obvious things, such as no swearing, remember that viewpoints differ and that's ok. If you have a problem with a person, post, or comment, please think and pray before responding. If/when you respond, do so in a manner fitting with Christ. Rudeness, flaming, character assasinations, bashing, vulgarities and the like are not permitted and will be deleted. Habitual demonstrators of such behavior will be banned. 5. You are entitled to your opinion; remember that others are entitled to theirs. Let's agree to disagree on matters not crucial to the crux of Christianity. Keep a level head about advice given and received: if you ask for advice, be aware that you may get advice that differs from what you want to hear; conversely, if you give advice, please be aware that your advice may not be received the way you want it to. 6. Please post photos, cross-posts and text longer than 500 words under a lj-cut. 7. In general, the statements agreed upon in the Christian faith are found under the Nicene Creed. Agreement with these statements are the criteria for which I define Christian. This does not include Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons/LDS. While using Christian language and terms, and even some texts, they do not adhere to the basis of the Christian faith. Therefore, this community is unable to accept people of those faiths in order to remain likeminded and without critical doctrinal confusion.
