hi all,
I've got an assignment for class, where I have to do 4 pages of a graphic novel. Funny thing is, I have NO idea how to panel/lay out a graphic novel type thing. So if you guys could give me a few crits, I would be incredibly grateful.
Here's the quick thumbnail of the first four (it ballooned up to 9 pages, and I gotta figure out how to cut it down):

Just a little explanation of the panels: he gets up, gets ready and goes outside, goes out into the streets of Japan, and passes some alleyway. Then he goes to work, and goes down the elevator to the lower levels (he works in a storm sewer.)
He's getting harassed by some coworker, then he sees a mysterious girl behind a wall, chases after her and grabs a hold of her ribbon.

Thanks very much in advance.

hi. a few months ago, i started using photoshop to create fully digital illustrations. i really never used the program prior to buying a wacom , so i'm learning through trial and error. but i like to think hard work and dumb luck will lead to great things. below is an example of the kind of stuff i'm doing. i've been studying a lot of mary blair work, so the influence is obvious.

and suggestions, comments or critiques will be appreciated. i really just want to be a better illustrator.

What happened to this sweet group? The first week outta the gate it was HOPPIN'. Now I'm seeing tumbleweeds blowing around. Lets get this going again, peoplez. I know you all have stuff to post, so grow some testiculars already. Whats the worst thing that could happen?

Here, another page from the upcomming SLEAZY SLICE #2. If I may be so bold, I will start the critique by saying: Once again I have totally PUSSED OUT for backgrounds. The more and more I think about it, the more I think drawing backgrounds is my area of weakest expertise. I seemingly will do anything to avoid it. I sometimes catch myself changing the script of the comic I am drawing so that it invloves less rendering of environment. TSK TSK, Bougie.
This is PART 2 of a 2 part DEVO musicomic "Gut Feeling" PART 1 here
Now, part 1 got a bit of attention. A lot of positive comments and in fairly rapid succession. I followed it up with this, and didn't get 1/3rd the comments. I couldn't help but wonder if this one was much weaker? Didn't jive as well? So I'm posting it here to get some comments on it. Was it just a case of bad timing, or did this comic bomb? I can't tell.
