Little Noises [10 Jul 2009|01:13pm]

[ mood | crappy ]

I've seen a couple of Crispin's film now and was just wondering for those who have seen it, how would you rate 'Little Noises'. I am guessing he was quite young when he was featured in this film!? Plus I have never heard anywhere or anyone talk about him in this film! :)

I was thinking of buying when pay day comes. That's all :D

[ mood | bored ]

I was looking around the net to see if there was any recent news about Crispin and came across this article: http://www.cbc.ca/arts/film/story/2009/07/02/f-moon-review.html

It featured one line which mentioned him and it struck me:-

<blockquote>...or a more functional Crispin Glover.</blockquote>

WHAT!? The man is a very fuctional actor!

Does anyone follow him on myspace? I'm so sad/angry about this

http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=52399482&blogId=478745706

This part: "Indianapolis Indiana
May 28 and 29 2009
Details to be announced"

Got me so excited and my hopes up... but he hasn't updated anything! Nothing! I've googled it, the dates, Indiana, etc.. nothing.. its in 2 days. I'm afraid its actually happening but he's not going to put up info online, but I guess the more likely reason is that its not happening, although I got my hopes up =(

Has anyone heard anything about this? Or actually in the Indianapolis area and could look around the area, see if any independent theaters have any info or anything? Sigh, Mr. Glover you make me very sad.

more bearded Crispin [20 Mar 2009|01:35am]

Don't worry, it was for a movie role about the Donnor Party called The Forlorn which Crispin starred in!

I had no idea this movie existed, I'm so glad I decided to research Crispin's beard. Here is the trailer:

Crispin Glover can eat me ANYTIME! Even with the beard...

Just saw this on ohnotheydidnt:

here is Crispin reading "Jack and Jill"

So sexy! ontd needs to post more Crispin gossip.

BTW has anyone seen Crispin rocking a beard lately? I think it's for a movie role. He looks like Vincent Gallo which is not a bad thing but it hides his gorgeous face too much...

Is anyone following the movie 9 closely? Have you found a good news resource for it? Any crispin forums/sites out there other than this LJ with a section for 9? Are you in elijah or burton fandom and know of a forum thread focusing on 9? Etcetc.

I'm getting so excited for it, but having trouble finding a central forum/site/place for news & fans. I wonder if when it comes out LJ comms will explode for it or anything..

I mean *is* there a LJ comm for it yet?? I know Elijah is the main actor for it, but I'm not really in his online fandom and got overwhelmed just LJ searching for him since there a bazzilion generic fanfic/lotr/fangirl comms with his name in them. I can't even find his central fandom source.

So I'm asking this comm and a tim burton comm if anyone out there is as fangirly for this movie as me and has had better luck at finding a 'central' place for 9 fans/news/pics. Thanks.

Nancy Juvonen, a producer of the "Charlie's Angels" franchise, held a press conference recently for her new film, He's Just Not That into You. She answered some speculation regarding the new movie, and the possibility of Crispin Glover reprising his role.

Tim Burton's 9 trailer is out!

http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/9/hd/

ITS SERIOUSLY EPIC.

I love Elijah AND Crispin... so I am dying of joy to finally see a trailer.. I can't fathom that its nine months away... but guh, I guess it will just make when it comes out even more orgasmic?

Check out the trailer, Crispin is THE STRIPEY ONE. I can't explain how overjoyed I am that Crispin is the weird stripey one... he is so adorable you guys.. you get a good view of him when they display Crispin's name, but then if you go back through the trailer frame by frame, around the middle is another good image of him standing with the group... he is so adorable with I believe a key around his neck and a frowny face.

Uh, yea I'm a little crazy and over excited.

~EDITED TO ADD~

CRISPIN IS GOING TO BE IN TIM BURTON'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND!

http://www.timburtoncollective.com/tbcnews.html

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081024/film_nm/us_glover_1

HELL YEA.

I was always boggled by the fact that Burton never seemed to notice Crispin. I always thought every crazy/creepy/burton-esque role that Johnny Depp got, Crispin could have done awesomly as too. I don't remember the story, the Knave of Hearts might be a tiny tiny role, but its still ~CRISPIN IN A BURTON MOVIE~ YES.

Willards starting on AMC right now!

just sharing the sexiness and joy :)

Wizard of Gore [19 Oct 2008|07:07pm]

wiirenet
Hey guys, I am so excited, my boyfriend just informed me Wizard of Gore is available on Comcast on Demand, I am off to his house right now.

I love Crispin, I still think of him as my fav actor, but I don't keep up too much on news since well... I don't even know if there are up to date Crispin sites out there, so I am always behind on when something is released if its not something in the theater. I remember reading about Wizard of Gore probably way over a year ago, same with I Scream Man.. ummm, Simon Says, that's all off bthe top of my head... I know the movie names but have no idea when/where I will be able to see them.. Wizard of Gore was like that... had the name in my head but no idea if I would ever see it.... BUT ITS ON ON DEMAND so I assume that must mean it has to be available other places for people without Comcast... no time to google now... off to go see it myself hehe.

I'm guessing if its on On Demand, it should be other places that might carry movies that weren't in the theater (at least it wasn't here) so Happy hunting fellow fans!

So.... EVEN THOUGH ASKED HIM IF IT SAID CRISPIN GLOVER'S NAME ON THE INFO.......... and he said something like 'yes, yes its this movie' We got the On Demand and it ended up being the old one... however he said he saw the Crispin one at Best Buy (what he said.. not me, can't vouch anymore!) So I will be checking out soon if its at Best Buy and I'll let you guys know...

However, the old version of Wizard of Gore is still pretty fun/amusing to watch.. so check it out if you haven't. =)

rat catching and oak-mot for sale [07 Oct 2008|01:01pm]

thejennabides
If sales posts aren't allowed here, please delete this and forgive me.

I have a hardcover second edition of Rat Catching that I sadly need to sell. I bought it in person from Crispin several years ago at Comic Con. It's not signed, but is in excellent condition: never read, spine uncracked. I'm asking US$7 + shipping; I'll ship worldwide and will take payment in US funds via paypal, money order, cashier's check, personal check, or concealed cash (at your risk). If you live in the Bay Area, we could do a pick-up to save you shipping.

I also have a signed copy of Oak-Mot, but you'd have to be named Jennifer (or not mind that's who it's made out to). Price negotiable; email offers to jenn.abiding @ gmail.com.

Thanks for reading.

a sharing moment. [01 Aug 2008|08:29pm]

Hi, kits.
So, yesterday, while I was running in a D&D campaign, my best lady friend whipped out her .mp3-playing phone and actually began playing Crispin's "Clowny Clown Clown", which then made me incredibly giddy. We've never quite had that, "Do you like Crispin Glover?" colloquy joust yet, so I jumped up and hurried over to my CD collection and slipped in Big Problem... and played the remainder of the album for the session.

My friend was flabbergasted, and then we dissolved in a pool of Glover-relation time. It was quite charming.

Crispin Joker [26 Jul 2008|03:24pm]

wiirenet
Oi! Glover Lovers, where is our fandom??
I still consider Crispin my number one favorite actor.. yet... my fandom seems so dead! Barely any news, barely any fan activity in LJ like with other fandoms around here... are you all hiding on some forum I don't know? (willing to share links?)

Anyway, http://www.newsarama.com/comics/080725-comic-con-Batman-panel.html
And how it relates to our ole Crispin
"The issue on whether or not the film producers should try and recast the Joker in subsequent films came up, with the panel all answering in the negative.

"Couldn't do it," said Morrison. "I always thought Crispin Glover would be a really good Joker, but that was 20 years ago, maybe. I think they're going to have a hard time replacing Heath Ledger.""

Discuss?
Ok, I am in love with Ledger-Joker, but if it was possible for Crispin to take up that role, I would die of joy. I don't know how it would be done, I don't think he could be exactly like Ledger's Joker. So then I'm not sure I would like to see a different Joker, it would be weird if he all of a sudden started talking differently in that universe. If there was a new batman world/movie/whatever created and a new joker, Crispin would be awesome..

But.. since there probably won't be, I think taking up Ledger's Joker is the only option. I can't really make my mind up about that. I would love it just because of the mere fact that its Crispin and the Joker, but I might also really feel weird. It would be weird if the Joker's persona and voice changed, BUT it would also be weird if it stayed exactly the same and Crispin was copying someone who passed away.

Also, I don't understand what they mean by '20 years ago Crispin could do it." What do you guys think? Has Mr. Glover really changed in 20 years acting wise? Young-Crispin would have been an awesome joker, but I don't think an older-joker would be impossible. With all the makeup and acting crazy, I don't think you would even be able to tell how old Crispin is. Obviously, as a person he's changed, but as an actor, I think he's doing more darker/creepier movies now then he did when he played the young geeky man.

Anyway. Just trying to breath some life into this community. Fell free to discuss a joker crispin, and link any other crispin forums/websites that are active! I miss this fandom.
