So my husband and I drove 5 hours to Cleveland Ohio from Cincinnati Ohio to see Crispin Glover on Saturday.

He was amazing. The slide show and movie were amazing. It was way more than I thought it was going to be.

I just could not believe how personable he was. He was so interested in everything we had to say and he kept asking us about our drive and where we were staying and where he should play his movie in Cincinnati. He remembered our names, shook our hands, signed everything we had even wrote down a qoute on my picture of Rubin. He wrote "Why don't you learn to keep your hands off other people's refridgerators!?" I laughed so hard over that honestly. He was just so happy and he ended up talking to us for like 20 minutes. It was amazing though and I am still just star struck and couldn't believe I met my idol finally.

My name's Jacky, and I joined this community a while ago, but have yet to post. :) I love Crispin Glover, and this community has some excellent posts! I love reading accounts of fans meeting Mr. Glover and squeeing! :) Also, some of the pictures and videos here are made of pure win. :)

I actually went to see his film It is Fine! Everything is Fine at the Castro Theater on Friday. And met the man himself *dead*. X) It was probably the most thrilling moment of my life!!!

I posted a picture and the account at my LJ because I was a bit out of my mind when I wrote it. XD

Yay! Another Crispin Glover dream! I think it's because I haven't seen a movie with him in it for awhile.

I was married to this rich guy, and all we (me n another girl) did was sit around his fabulous indoor pool (with stained glass windows?? i dunno, my brain is weird). Well our rich guy, that I never actually saw, had a party at his house. I was wearing a fur coat and a little tiny bikini, and floating around on one of those pool rafts. Miraculously the coat never got wet. I floated over to a table where a reporter was sitting, and ta-da! Crispin Glover! He was dressed really dorky. He had on this nerd glasses and striped suspender, with striped pants. I got out of the pool and started talking to the reporter, and then realized Mr. Glover was sitting right there!! So I started freaking out and making noises about how much I adore him. The reporter laughed and then introduced me, but Mr. Glover got up and started playing with the pool water. I kept trying to give him my business card, but to no avail.

I was just viewing Crispin Glover on IMDB.com and it says he's going to play Grendal in the movie version of Beowulf. I don't know how long anyone else has known that but I don't go on that website much. It just made me amused. :D

Hello everyone. I know you're out there, somewhere. Some of you may know me from the "other" Crispin Glover community (and there really is only one other). But sadly, that community has no rules or regulations posted, not even the basic "be nice to people" that is often thought of as a given. There is also no moderator around to help out should conflicts arise. I'm probably being overly dramatic about all this, but I personally don't like being harrassed in a place where I have no one to turn to for help.

That being said, I would like to ask how everyone in this community feels about fan fiction. I tend to write a fair amount of it, and there is a Crispin fan fic community, but the moderator seems to have disappeared off the face of the internet, and no one really is aware of it. I know it says in the info that we should feel free to share anything Crispin-related, but I just thought I would ask if anyone minded about my sharing my writing.

As for my official introduction, I'm not really sure what to say. I can't pick just one favourite Crispin film, but some of his characters that I really love are the Thin Man, Jules Langdon, Howdy, Bartleby, and Willard. I'm very grateful to everyone on youtube who's posted Crispi-related videos for our viewing pleasure XD. I'm always looking for new articles and interviews, and I'm always up for discussion about anything Crispin-related.

I ran out of money while I was at chapters, so I didn't get the rat book yet (I know, I know, but I really wanted "ghost stories of Hollywood" and the Titanic book was on sale)

I did finally buy CA:Full Throttle and enjoyed the ending, and was throughly pissed that Crispy was thrown off the building.

I thought maybe you guys would enjoy these "Crispin-esque" apparel and accesories. Don't ask me why I thought of him when I saw them, I just did.

Hey, I'm new, new to this community, and new to Crispin Glover. Yeah, I'll admit, I first saw him in Back to the Future and was always enamoured by his bones. He was great in River's Edge, and who doesn't love the Thin Man? If any of you would like to just send me all his work (i.e. what is it, his books etc.) that would be great, because I want to absorb all things Crispin, and I have no idea on where to get his stuff up here. I am so sick, SICK of mainstream everything, it's never been me and I just want to friggin' escape!

Also, I saw his fiance recently, is it just me or is she just some blonde tart?

I'm encouraged to find others who love Crispin too... Just saw "What is It" on saturday and while I found parts too much, others were wonderful. I think he's right in saying that it's not perfect but it's definately doing just what it should be. I would love a copy of his book "all around the house" that was possibly my favorite of his offerings during the big slide show. He gives me hope that if I never really go back to college to earn a degree in whatever that I can still be something of a working weirdo. I invite feedback on my projects...but only from friends and people who might just understand.

i have a question.

crispin has been very open that he does a lot of films for money to make other projects that he loves. he even said at my showing of "what is it?" that he spacifically did the charlie's angels movies purely for money. and we all know about the back to the future drama.
do any of you know his view on his other films. i love willard and i always wondered if he enjoyed making it.

i just saw "what is it?" last weekend, and god o god was i pleased! it was probably one of the most memorable ever!
crispin was so nice, and smart. it was awesome that he actually wanted to talk to his fans after the show.
i am looking forward to the next two movies, and any other movies, books, cds, etc that he puts out.
i'm glad there are more people just as obsessed with him as i am. he's so underrated as an artist.
