CressidasLayout
This community was started by cressidas_love a couple of years ago and is now in the process of re-opening.
I am currently the only poster, but I am looking for others who would like to share layouts/graphics/templates in the community. Please comment in a post in the community if you are interested in posting here.
There are basically no rules here. I provide custom-made graphics and layouts for you to use. I do not require credit; however, I do request that you not re-distribute any of the layouts or graphics that I post here in their original form. Feel free to take the code I have posted, manipulate it, and create something of your own.
Any photo used in this community to create a layout is a free stock photo, probably from morguefile.com, and therefore is used lawfully in accordance to the license associated with the photo.
Please enjoy the community, and any credit given or promotion is greatly appreciated.
| Instructions for Installing Layouts
All of the layouts posted in this community are for S1 basic/plus accounts.
Copy the overrides for the layout you would like to use, login, and go to the LiveJournal homepage.
If you do not have a website listed in your profile, hover over the link that says "Profile" and choose the "Edit Profile" option.
Scroll to the middle of the page to the section titled "Web Page". Type the URL to any webpage, as long as you have text in both fields. Be sure to save your changes. This ensures that the navigation and header image will show up properly in your layout.
From there, scroll to the top of the page, hover over the "Journal" link, and choose "Customize Journal".
On the tab that says "Basics", ensure that your journal is set to the S1 Style Option and save your changes.
Then choose the tab that says "Look and Feel". On that page under the section titled "Layout", ensure that "Generator" is the style selected in all of the drop-down menus. Under the section titled "Theme", choose the "custom colors" option and erase all of the options so that each field is blank. Then save your changes.
From there, click on the "Custom Options" tag and paste the overrides into the box, following the instructions posted with the specific layout you chose. Save your changes again, and you should have a beautiful new layout.
