Phase one of the “Believe in the Future” campaign is getting underway and XFN is lining up regional liaisons in countries around the globe.

Worldwide Postcard Project-

What does a regional liaison do you ask? Essentially, they are responsible for collecting postcards mailed from philes all over their region. Once they reach the closing date for that region, they are to ship the box of cards to XFN’s west coast ‘office.’ We will also be giving the option to send the post cards directly to XFN’s west coast ‘office’ should a phile be uncomfortable with sending to a regional liaison.

At this time we are asking that fans refrain from sending these postcards directly to FOX. All post cards that are part of the “Believe in the Future” campaign will be hand delivered to a specific person at FOX in November.

Taking note of Chris Carter’s suggestion at the Barnes&Noble book signing last week to write letters to FOX and with the support of the previous “Create The Future” campaign, XFN is officially announcing its partnership with Inspired by Gillian, The Skype Files, EsX, The X-Files.Ru, Back to Frank Black, Beyond the Sea, The X-Files Fan Club Venezuela, The X-Files Colombia, XFU and our friends from “Create the Future” to organize the troops and call in all efforts for the ultimate goal, getting FOX to green light a third "X-Files" feature film (other websites, fan clubs and “X-File” communities are in the process of being confirmed).

In honor of the campaign that came before this and 2008's "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" this new campaign has been titled, "Believe in the Future."

Are you a believer?

Yes, part of the old team including me, Roxane from France and [info]scooly42 have joined the girls at XFN (we've given them the postcard and banner ideas :). To keep the fanbase at LJ informed, I will be crossposting all updates to this community- so tell the Phile friends on your f-list to come and watch us! [info]createthefuture had a rough start in 2006, but after IWTB and with all those people involved in the follow-up campaign, I can sense it will be HUGE. Don't miss your chance of being a part in this! I know you will bite your ass.

I can't believe I haven't updated this place since...November last year. What? Time flew by was too fast!

Thank you for still being out there, watchers. I have finally sat down, overcome my coding-dread and put together all information I have failed to get out here in the past months. I am really sorry about that, I just didn't find the time or energy. But now it's done, and ultimately, I did it for you, the participants. So go on and visit the project's website to learn about the final phases of "Create the Future", to see photos of the albums, and to read an email from the Fox representative I sent the package to (Michael Broidy, who also attended WonderCon). In the joyful anticipation of The X Files: I Want To Believe, I hope there is still some interest.

Again, I want to thank everyone, who supported CtF, who made art, videos, promoted us, linked to us, and especially, who wrote a letter! Thanks for your belief. I can't say it often enough, it was appreciated so very much.

Thank you.

Vieh

I'm pretty positive most of you will know by now, but I thought I'd post it here too, because - obvious direct relation.

XF2 has been greenlighted by FOX

Because I'm a lazy fucknut right now, I'll refer you to [info]xfiles for further information- there have been a lot of articles posted there.

Since this has taken the rest of the small breeze out of our sails - of which I look upon with a sad and a very, very, VERY happy eye - I wanted to know your opinions on how to proceed here. A lot of you have participated, some more than others, and I'd hate for all of that to have been for nothing...the situation, however, is still the same, which is that the rest of the letters haven't arrived yet.

Shall I go ahead and post the ones that I do have (Europe and South America) now?

And since FOX doesn't need to be begged anymore, do you reckon it would be better to send them to 1013 directly, simply to show our LOVE or utmost SUPPORT for what is about to happen in Vancouver?

Any ideas and suggestions (and squeeage if you totally can't hold back another time ;) is welcomed.

I'm sure the one or other of you guys is wondering, what has become of the project. Well, I'm sorry to say, I have to bring you some not so good news.

10/13 has arrived, but the letters haven't. Meaning, I'm still waiting for the packages from Australia/New Zealand, the USA and Canada. I know for a fact that some of these are underway for a long time now (over 8 weeks)- but since it is widely common that especially intercontinental mailings can take a while or longer, I'm not giving up hope, they could lie in my PO-box the next day. And that's why I'm still waiting.

I hope you are not too disappointed that we have to delay yet another x-filish delivery-date- my own frustration about being unable to do anything about it but wait is sufficient for all of us. ;)

As soon as I am ready to send the compiled letters off to FOX, I will of course let you all know.

Thanks for understanding, and a happy 10/13.

Among more blurbs in interviews and news, these may be the most important: Confirmation by Frank Spotnitz.

I know today is not tomorrow, but things chose to throw themselves at me without a pause.

I'm pretty sure you all heard it, but just in case there are one or two people, who didn't: there are hot rumours about XF2 out there again.

David and Gillian about XF2 )

It doesn't seem like there's something official out there (like from FOX or CC/FS), but the news clearly affect the course of this project. We've collected a lot of letters since we started back in August and we decided - in the light of recent events - it's time for the final phase. We're going to give everyone who still wants to add his personal words to the pile of letters another 3 months to do just that. And (y)our message is still worth being voiced! I'm positive FOX will be encouraged in doing the right thing by producing XF2; yes, we will be noticed, in what way ever.

The dates are going to be announced tomorrow.

Other news

- The website is still being renovated in the dark ... it's dragging a bit due to the lack of time I can put into this- it will come! Eventually.

- The t-shirt-challenge-winners are tallied- I haven't posted them yet, because that was more of Kelsi's area, and as some of you know she's currently offline: please pray for her internet-connection... I can post the winners, if you want to, but I'm not sure how to progress with this without Kelsi's input- so please be patient.

Thanks to all our supporters. When we started this back in August, we'd never have thought it would grow this big! And it wouldn't have without you. And my team. My team is awesome, it deserves a shout-out.

THANK YOU, AWESOME TEAM.

Alright, enough spamming of your f-lists. ;)

Hello! No, we didn't drown in our presents ;), it's just that real life has been taking pretty much over. But we're still here, we're still very much involved in this project and I honestly don't think we would have made it this far without your support. That's why I'd like to thank every single one of you who has helped us making our idea come true, and is continuing to. And I apologize if we're a bit slow sometimes with getting back to you about questions or offers; I promise take care of every single one of you eventually.
