able - ible
Ever have one of those days when words that are right just don't look right? I just looked up "deductible" in three places to make sure it was spelled correctly.

Is there a rule of thumb for figuring out when a word should be spelled with the "-able" suffix and when it should be "-ible"?

I just found this handy guide. I wish I'd known about that rule years ago. Apparently "deductible" is another exception.

...if you live in Australia, ignore all that stuff about deductible, we're cool and spell it with an A. Really.

Funnily enough, I was looking this up yesterday, after someone made a comment about it. :)
