I wasn't sure if I should post a challenge this month or not with back to school about to take place and all...but hopefully we'll get some entries this time around. Maybe the month hiatus will pay off...

It's a loverly photo anyway. :D You can enter up to 3 icons. You can do anything you want to them except animate them of course.

The end of the month is almost upon us and we've had only 1 entry folks. Is it the photo? Is it too perfect to iconize? Is it the summer heat keeping everyone....hmmm...you'd think would be keeping them inside on their computers but...maybe not?

Do I need to shut down the community for a few months? If so let us know and we'll put it on hiatus for a while or something...coz folks just don't seem interested in doing icons anymore. Maybe if/when this Underworld movie comes out if Craig's role is at least somewhat big then maybe we can have fresh photos of him and a character to work with? Do I need to come up with different challenges? We stopped offering prizes...do we need to come up with something else?

June Challenge

The new challenge is simple. Just make an icon, any sort of icon you want using the image provided. You can enter up to 3.

Yes, you've seen this challenge before, this is the Feb. challenge no one entered. We've not posted a new challenge since the March one ended in April. That has mostly been my own fault for not being on the ball and having some issues to deal with that took my mind away from things. But the unfortunate part of that is participation here has been so lax no one seemed to notice but I do hope someone does at least enter this time around. I think its a lovely picture of Craig and deserves to be made into icons better than I can make. :D

Also keep in mind Craig has a role in the upcoming Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans film, hopefully photos will start to be released from that and we can maybe issue a wolf/Craig challenge at that time. :D:D:D:D I'm actually *really* looking forward to that role for him, can't you tell? Anyway folks, please try and enter and I'll try and do better issuing challenges....give me ideas too if you like. Anything to keep this community rolling.

I'll try to post banners soon, but life has been hectic lately so I'm not sure exactly when I'll get to them. Cash prizes such as gift certificates or paid LJ time will no longer be awarded. They did nothing to drive up participation in the community and we aren't made of money so we are no longer offering them. Since there were no entries for February there are no winners to announce nor any voting. *dramatic sigh* and it was a purty picture too....hopefully this one will garner more inspiration from the members here *pokes you all and tickles a little to get your attention*

Its a nice 'springy/summery' type image maybe that'll help with the end of winter doldrums?

January contest

I'm a little late getting this contest going...but based on the last few months participation I guess I didn't figure anyone was in any hurry for it.

Hopefully we'll get more than one entrant this time around...maybe it was too limiting last time? I've tried very loose 'do whatever you want' ideas, I've tried to offer the bases already ready to be worked with....and of course anorienparker offered *real* prizes and not even that really drummed up many entries so I'm starting to really worry that people are maybe too busy or no longer interested and that's just a shame. If folks have suggestions that'd be great.

I'll offer a couple pictures here but make this an open challenge...if you don't like the pictures selected then please choose whatever images of Craig you'd like and use those for icons...ANY entries are better than NO entries right?

You can do anything you want except animation of course. You can enter up to 5 icons.

Not one person entered in the month of November. The challenge will not be extended any further. It is now closed with no winner for the first time ever which is pretty depressing. I'm not sure what will keep folks interested here in craig_stillness we are even giving real tangible prizes and get no entries so I don't know what to do to entice people.

December challenge is one single photo. It must be sepia toned, you know that aged look, like antique photographs? You cannot use color unless it is as a 'spot' color for emphasis like blue eyes. You can make as many icons as you want from this photo. As always no animation.

Craig's birthday is on November 12th and anorienparker and myself thought it would be fun if everyone throughout the month of November posted their favorite Craig icons here in the community. Make sure you list who made them, but if you have a fav in your user pictures then please post them, respond to this message if you like or make a direct post in the community...tell us WHY its your favorite too. :D I.E. his eyes look gorgeous in that particular picture, or what a great smile he has in that icon...whatever strikes you most. :)
