breasts - just like boobs, but classy!
My friend and I got all ready tonight for the new show... We got snacks and drinks and sat in anticipation until it came on, and we were seriously DYING with laughter throughout the whole thing. Nothing could have been better than an entire hour of craig, without guests!

So... we got to thinking. Wouldn't it be great if he would do one show a week as a "Craig Ferguson Variety Hour", because tonight's show was just TOO amazing! It went by sooo fast! It didn't feel like an hour at all.

Cheers to the new year and new Late Late show! ....and also to Craig NOT growing a strike beard... At least not one we can see! ;)

weeee, it's SO cute! hehe :D It looked real to me. Dang, the only celebrity I ever got to do that to was Rupert from survivor. My friend and I have a photo just like that. Although, not quite comparable to Craig ;) When did this amazing event take place? And were you just excited as hell? lol.

Ahahahaha. This happened in July when I went to see him in Washington, D.C. I'll copy/paste the entry from my Livejournal:

The show was fantastic, as always. Same material with a few new twists: he did a ridiculous little imp-dance when making fun of Tom Cruise, and when he came onstage and commented on the weather in DC: "YOU PEOPLE LIVE IN SOUP!!!" But mostly the same material. We were actually third row, because they went AA, BB, and then A, but I was CENTER. And he was gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. We also met up with Diane, my friend from Mission Viejo, who is also in love with him.

So after the show, we go around the back of the theatre near the loading dock, and just kind of wait around with a few other people... soon, this guy starts walking toward us and says, "Are you guys here for autographs?" He tells us we can each have ONE thing autographed, and ONE picture, which is fine. So then Craig comes out, and ... just ... gah. You know.

So I get up there, having adjusted my dress and popped a piece of gum, and smile at him and say hi. I hand him my ticket stub to autograph, and mention that I'd met him in Cleveland. And he kind of looks at me and smiles and says, "Oh yes, I remember. You changed your hair." WHY DOES HE REMEMBER THAT. So I tell him he did a great show, and he's looking at me with those gorgeous hazel-blue eyes, and I say I'm moving to LA soon and I can't wait to see him on the show. And he smiles a small smile and says, "Well, I can't wait to see you at the show."

GAH. GAH GAH GAH.

So we take a picture, he's gorgeous, I look fat, and I go on my way. So Jen goes up to him and gets his autograph too, making him laugh when she says, "Even though I'm French Canadian, will you autograph this?" (He does this bit in the show where he makes fun of Belgians and French Canadians). He giggled, and signed her ticket stub. So we go off to the side, and Diane files through the line as well. He knows who she is because she's met him like fifty billion times. And then all of a sudden, I hear, "Hey, Craig, can I get a picture with me and my gorgeous friend Karyn kissing your cheeks?"

I had no idea wtf was going on until I was being shoved toward him. Diane hands her camera to Jen, and from there, I don't remember anything other than my lips, red lipstick and all, being planted on his cheek for a good 20 seconds while Jen figured out the camera. People were laughing, Craig was making some goofy face, and my lips. were on. his. face. And all I could think was, "OH MY GOD HE SMELLS SO GOOD OMG OMG OMG." He smelled so clean and he was fresh shaven and Jesus Christ he was so fantastic and he didn't even DO ANYTHING.

So the picture gets taken, and Diane wipes her lipstick from his face, but I left mine there. In the rest of the photos, you could totally see the red print on his cheek. And he made no move to get rid of it, either.

And then he was gone, and I decided I can die happy.

So, basically, yes. I was FREAKING OUT. The only thing I could say, all the way back to the hotel, was, "Oh my God, my lips were on his face." I don't think I've ever been so happy in my life, except for that time in Vegas when he talked to me and my friend Leslie backstage for like half an hour and gave me a great big bear hug and a kiss on the cheek. Also a good story, but alas, no photographic evidence. LOL.

Which one is you? Love the goofy face he made. Your so lucky but it takes some effort and bravery to actually go up to him and talk to him like that so you deserved it. :)

Mo kidding! WOW!
I went to see him in Tacoma, WA in November, and apparently he was outside after doing autographs, but my 2 friends and I were so hyper from the show we just walked up and down the streets and went on a quest to find a gas station that sold liquor. I TOTALLY PASSED HIM BY, not even knowing it. The only reason I do know, is that someone in this community (homewrecker--something is her username) met him there.
So basically I cannot die happy until I meet him.
I saw him in LA at his show in August, but I reckon its much harder to meet him there.

You are so lucky and I am glad you had that experience. You definitely deserved it! :D Oh, and I am moving to LA soon too! We should meet up at a taping. And then stalk. :)

The hour FLEW by, I was caught off-guard when it seemingly ended so soon.
He was adorable and so "up" to be back on the air.

I'll say this - and can't say this about any other late night show - his program is consistently funny. The writing is good, the sketches are good, but the show is successful because of he is so personable. I enjoy Letterman and Conan's humor, but they don't strike me as people I'd want to spend a whole evening with.

I'd love to see more solo-nights once in awhile :)

I loved having Craig back last night soooo much!! I was like "OMG, no guests...ALL Craig!!!" Loved the skits, LOVED the monologue, I love Craig.

So good to have him back...oh and the jeans...YUM!

I know!! When I saw the jeans, I was like... *jaw the the floor* and then when he walked out, my friends and I had a toast to him being back, and then squealed like little girls the entire show.

I loved last night's show! I agree with [info]xsullen_girlx, Craig should do a show once a week where he has no guests. He is funny enough without them.

I flipped to conan on the commercials, and it was totally LAMEEEEE compared to craig... I mean, it ALWAYS is lame compared to craig - but conan could NEVER fill up an hour the way craig did without any guests.

I loved the opening skit, that was the best part of the show and did anyone notice the little intro in the beginning? I hope they keep that it was cool. It all ended too soon though. I could have stayed up another hour watching it.

i hope they keep that intro too. it was amazing, the whole montage of his skits. Not only that, but I LOVE the entire theme song, so I hope it stays! We will find out tonight!!
