Hello and Happy Belated Halloween
Hello all!

I'm a first time poster, but I've been watching here for a while.

This year for Halloween I decided to go with a geeky theme...

Why yes, that IS a dalek! I actually got the template here. (The Rebel Pumpkin was also my idea, the salamander was my sister's.)

Now what you DON'T see is my super awesome looped CD of Dr Who sounds and music (snagged from the Dean Grey mash-up album, and these two websites). I don't think any of the uncultured boors who came to the house got the Dr Who stuff, but the teenage boys loved the Star Wars reference.

Two Who Pumpkins
I'm pretty shocked thrilled with how these turned out. I hadn't carved a pumpkin in years, and I'd never tried anything this complicated, so I was pretty sure these would turn out looking nothing liked I intended. At any rate, here they are, one New Who pumpkin and one Classic Who pumpkin...

The details didn't come through in the photos quite as well as I'd like but you get the idea.

I know it's late at this point and everyone has probably already carved their pumpkins, but if anyone is interested, here are the templates I made for the pumpkins:

VoilĂ ! A Dalek jack o' lantern. (The one I used as inspiration is much better.)

Haloween pumpkin Fun!
Boy I find the craziest junk: It's a dalek pumpkin. Personally the motor in in thead may be a bit much, but using the mellon baller is BRILLIANT.

This is what happens when your baby wakes up at 5 am and wont' got back to sleep....

Cyber-Pumpkin
I'm making 60's era Cyberman costumes for my family for Halloween. Nothing too fancy, but hopefully recognizable. Anyway, I'll post those closer to the big day.

In keeping with the theme, I carved a Cyberman pumpkin! I was hoping to get a cool shot of it with a candle in it and all, but the squirrels have already eaten it. *sigh* At least I got these pictures first.
