ornaments
Hi Everyone,
I had some clay left over from the last project I did so I decided to try making some ornaments out of it and thought I would share what I have so far. They have only been through one firing as the clear glaze I'm planning to use makes things very shiny and not terribly photo friendly, at least with my camera. The Seal of Rassilon is sort of obvious, and I wanted something from the new series as well so I tried doing the watch. It was a challenge, but I think it came out OK. I couldn't resist doing UNIT and Torchwood since their logos are just kind of fun. I borrowed the Dalek stencil from whoever posted having used it on a cake. (I hope you don't mind. It was the first Dalek pattern I saw that might work for what I wanted to try.) Anyway, if you get a chance, let me know what you think and if there are any other designs you think I should try to do.
Thanks again,
Mary

Seal of Rassilon - Plate
Hi Everyone,
I hope this is OK. I have been working on this plate in pottery and thought I'd share it now that its finally finished. Not sure if it counts as painting, because of the material. If this isn't OK, let me know and I'll take it down. (I'm not sure how you do that, but I'll give it my best shot.) Anyway, I was pretty happy with how it came out and I used some of the same glazes that I used on the Daleks and they seemed to work really well.
Thanks,
Mary

Daleks Update
Hi everybody, A while back I posted a couple of pictures of some Daleks I was working on in the pottery class I was taking and I thought I'd post an update. As mentioned in the previous post they are small jars so I'm including a picture of one of them with the top off of it, since I don't think it was very clear the last time. The main body was thrown on the wheel which is why none of them are quite the same size or shape. FYI: The black one was the unglazed/unfired one from the previous post. I am pretty happy overall with how they came out - now I just need to figure out how to get them to the people they are for since not all of them live in the same town I do. (Mailing them frightens me. I'm quite sure arms and eyestalks wouldn't survive.) Anyway, please let me know what you think of the complete set and thanks again. Mary

Daleks
Hi,
I hope I don't mess this up, I haven't ever posted anywhere before, but I have been working on a project in pottery for a friend and she said I should post it to your site. I hope this is OK and that they come through OK. The basic shape is thrown on the wheel and they are small jars with the eyestalks and such added after trimming. I have included an  inwork pictures and one of the finished product.
Thanks,
Mary
