Tabletweaving TARDIS-Style
I think this may be my first post to this community (I'm a notorious lurker over here in LJ land). I've been doing tabletweaving for a couple of years now, and got the urge awhile back to try some Doctor bookmark designs in doubleweave tabletweaving, which allows you to do just about any design, as long as you chart it properly.

Alien for 4x01
My mum wanted a plushy of the alien-that-will-remain-nameless from 4x01 so I made her one.

Took me about two hours.

Pictures under the cut.

I'd do a pattern but I just made it up as I went along

Web of Fear Yeti
My boyfriend and I watch a lot of Doctor Who, even the really early episodes. He recently became enamored of the Yeti, or Abominable Snowmen, from the Web of Fear episodes (1968), and he asked me if I could make him his own cuddly yeti. Here are the results!

He's less than a foot tall, made of fake fur and felt. The sphere that brings him to life is a button. I've read that the sphere is supposed to be silver, but as the show was in black and white back then, who can tell?

Weeping angel ornaments
I made these for my sister and my friend for christmas out of leather and used them as gift tags. First I figured out what pictures to use,

then I carved them into the leather. I can't find the picture of the one before I dyed it.

After I carved the pictures in the leather, I dyed them and ended up with these.

Two Who Pumpkins
I'm pretty shocked thrilled with how these turned out. I hadn't carved a pumpkin in years, and I'd never tried anything this complicated, so I was pretty sure these would turn out looking nothing liked I intended. At any rate, here they are, one New Who pumpkin and one Classic Who pumpkin...

The details didn't come through in the photos quite as well as I'd like but you get the idea.

I know it's late at this point and everyone has probably already carved their pumpkins, but if anyone is interested, here are the templates I made for the pumpkins:
