Doctor Who Decorated Cookies
So a bunch of my friends ([info]yummysubculture , [info]ryokoyuy , and others) are trying to re-instate our school's Sci-Fi club, and they're having a bake sale today as a fundraiser.
They made and decorated the cookies last night with many sci-fi references.

Here are some you might enjoy )

Tardis Cookie cutter
Does anyone know where I can find a Tardis shaped cookies cutter? I tried to find it everywhere and I didn't find anything at all :(

Please?

My first attempt at a TARDIS cake
Apparently one should not attempt to make icing at 95° F. That's why the icing is so squishy looking.

(Follow the fake cut)

Tasted good, though.

Quick update
Right, so, last I was here, I was working on the TARDIS shoes...well...

Also, it was my birthday this weekend, and my mum (knowing what a huge Who-fan I am) suprised me with a TARDIS-shaped cake!

Lets see...Cake+Doctor Who+Action figures= FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!
...it seems that the story went a little like:
The Doctor had a cake.
"Yay! I have cake!" Said the Doctor.
"CAN I HAVE CAKE?" asked the Cyberman.
"NO!" replied the Doctor, aiming his Sonic Screwdriver at the Cyberman.
So then the Cyberman pushed the TARDIS Cake over, squashing the Doctor.
"HA. HA. HA." laughed the Cyberman, mechanically.

...yes, that WAS a fun day indeed.

Hello, all!
This is my first post to this comm (or any, for that matter, so if I've jacked something up, do plz correct me), but I've been lurking for quite a while, and I absolutely love everything that you guys have done. :D

Several of my friends and I have been getting together over the summer for some Doctor Who marathons, and we were very inspired by this community to make some stuff of our own. So... we did! Lots of stuff, in fact. [info]sleepy_kaze wanted to us to conglomerate everything into a big, end-of-the-summer post, so, if you're interested, we've got pictures behind the fake cut. :D 10 images, so maybe not dial-up friendly, just in case.

(yayyyy food!)

Dalek Cake :D
First post here. But for tonight's 90 minute finale airing, I made my "Death By Time Lord Cake", and wanted to ice it up like the TARDIS, but being stuck with just chocolate frosting, I went with a Dalek. Seemed more appropriate that way too.

Pictures )

Death By Time Lord Cake
Take your favorite chocolate cake recipe (or box mix), and add to the batter 1/3-1/2 cup more cocoa powder. Optional: Chocolate chips/chunks or mixing in the chocolate syrup.

Pour batter into pan, drizzle chocolate syrup into batter. Be creative if you like, but you won't see the design once it's baked. It can be your little secret. ;)

Bake cake as recipe (or box) directs you to.

Topping Ideas: While still warm, sprinkle hot chocolate powder or powdered sugar atop the cake and let cool.

Or, let it cool enough to frost, and frost it. Or do a combo of both.

Doctor Who birthday party success!
Well it appears the party has gone well. Those boys who didn't know the Doctor, watched enthusiastically the selected episodes my son chose. Those who knew about the Doctor, enjoyed watching the episodes as well. Also, my attempt at a Dalek cake turned out better than I expected! Here are some pictures of my chocolately good creation!

tardis cake and other things
I discovered this community a couple weeks ago and immediately proceeded to read through the entire archive. Among other things, I've been inspired to get back to my Scarf, so thanks for that. (I am horrid at finishing knitting projects; I also have a dalek-in-progress somewhere, patterned and started long before I realized there were actually other people crazy enough to think knitting a dalek was a brilliant idea.)

I've also been trying out the stenciling thing like mad and I'll have pictures of all that eventually. But for starters I thought I'd share the Tardis cake I made a while ago (also long before I realized so many other people did such things), and some more recent cupcakes...

I just joined and have been going through all your posts - so impressed by thing things you have all made. My daughter wants her bedroom to be a Doctor Who theme - I'm getting some great ideas for crafts. Just wanted to post a picture of her cake from her Doctor Who birthday party - if only she weren't the only one at the party who knew what the show was all about. =-)

By request, Doctor Who themed drinks!
Sex in the TARDIS:

vodka
Kahlua® coffee liqueur
Bailey's® Irish mint chocolate cream
Godiva Chocolate liquor
1 banana
milk (soy or regular)
3 ice cubes
chocolate syrup

Fellow vegans and dairy intolerant/allergic, substitute creme de mente, additional Godiva chocolate liquor, and soy milk. Also use dairy-free chocolate syrup. I prefer Ah-laska.

Put in a blender and whee!

Sonic Screwdriver:

orange energy drink (I use Sobe)
99 Bananas
vodka

Delicious.

Laser Screwdriver:
Fair warning: it does NOT taste alcoholic or strong but wow it will put you under the table.
50% Sobe Orange energy drink
20% Stolichnaya Orange Vodka
20% 99 Oranges
10% After Shock cinnamon liquor

It tastes DAMN good and wow does it pack a punch.

Sonic Screwdriver, yum!
This isn't nearly as crafty as alla yall, but it is delicious, and great for washing down marshmallow Adipose or Dalek cookies!

Ignore all those blue gatorade sonic screwdriver recipes. Ew.

1 shot peach schnapps (or vodka) + white grapefruit juice (or other whitish juice) + blue food coloring = delumptious sonic screwdriver!

Me right before the finale with sonic screwdriver in hand )

TARDIS Cake
Tomorrow happens to be my own eighteenth birthday, and I got the crazy idea to make my own eighteenth-birthday-cake.

Several problems arise with this notion--primarily the fact I've never made a cake before.

Long story short, through a thoroughly uneventful process, I have made a TARDIS.

Out of cake. )

It's not Ace of Cakes style quality, but, I'm satisfied.
