A little help please?
Hi, everyone! I've been a long-time lurker and admirer of the crafts in this community, and I've figured if anyone could help me out with my predicament, it would be some one here.

I've been working on a graduation present for one of my friends who is, like me, a major Ten/Rose fan. I've made dolls for her, but I'm having trouble with clothes (shirt/tie/suit for the Doctor and a shirt and pants for Rose). I've been looking forever for patterns online for suits and stuff but to no avail and I was hoping that some one here either has patterns they would be willing to share or could possible give me some suggestions on how to begin. I've included pictures of the dolls under the cut. Each doll is around 6 inches tall (4 inches from neck to foot) with 2 inch long arms, but I have a knack for manipulating patterns, so the exact measurements don't really matter.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

I would just trace the body pattern, draw the shirt and pants on it, add seam allowance and extra in the back to overlap and use that as a new pattern for the clothes. Fasten in back with buttons

Yup, it doesn't look like you need anything too elaborate. But if you wanted to... I dont' seem to be able to draw out what I want. Darn you MS paint and mouse! Have you done any sewing at all? You might just want to buy a cheap pattern for a suit, or a jacket that zips up the front, look at the pattern peices, and then scale them down. If I can figure out how the collar bit worked, I'll try to draw something up for you.

But if you went with Theosmom's suggestion, you could always add those details on seperately.

(Best present ever, btw.)

those are awesome. I've made silmilar in the past mosly of Lord Of The Rings characters or orlando bloom ones.

The were all made with what i refere to as a gingerbread man shape patern and the clothes were done in a similar fashion. so basically from the orginal patern for the doll use for example from the waist down for pants and cut two of those with seam allowances.

Then for jackets and the like use a full top half plus arms for the back and then have two halfs for the front if you want it to open with a bit extra if you want it to overlap so you can add buttons and the like which will open.

ive used the same paterns for making the coat for my Jack and Tenth Doctor Bears.
