I just found this community and I am super excited about it. A few months ago I got bored and made a felt Tardis bookmark that I embroidered the phone box details on it, sans the lettering because it was too tiny for me to do it and make it look good. Tell me what you think.

Hi all!  I posted earlier asking for help with suggestions for a Doctor Who Silence in the Library-themed surprise going-away party for my very bestest friend.  :D  I was wondering if anyone knew of any tutorials for making River Song's TARDIS Journal, or if anyone knew where I could buy one for an affordable price?  Thank you so much for all your help!!, and thank you to the people who commented on my last post with their suggestions!, I loved 'em!!  :D  :D

I apologize in advance to the moderators if this post is not allowed  :(

My very bestest friend is leaving in August for Israel and is going to be gone for 4 months with the IBEX program.  :'(    She threw me a really awesome Doctor Who surprise birthday party last year, and I want to throw her a Doctor Who surprise going-away party before she leaves.  Her favorite Doctor Who episode is Silence in the Library, from Season 4, and I want to do a party themed around that episode for her.

I need help thinking of some decorations and what-have-you that would work with that theme.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!  Thank you so much!!  :D

[edit]:  THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYBODY WHO'S COMMENTED SO FAR, THESE ARE AWESOME IDEAS!!!!!!  :D  :D  :D

Well, I have been away from computers for a while, which of course has given me oodles of time to work on my Doctor Who Dolls. As of right now I have Seven Dolls completely finished, and one doll in production.

I bought this shirt months ago to put a TARDIS on it, and just got around to it this week.

Facebook pics, I'll rehost if anyone has trouble seeing them.

I just did freezer paper stencils, which pretty much just consists of printing or drawing an image on freezer paper (butcher paper with plastic coating on one side), cutting it out with an x-acto knife, and ironing it onto the cloth. (And another sheet of paper on the back side prevents bleedthrough. I can explain in more detail if anyone is interested.)

Under a cut because they're a little big. )

 Hi there,
First time poster, long time lurker. :-) I'm not sure if this counts in this community so if it doesn't, feel free to delete.

Thanks for looking and I hope you guys like them even though it's not exactly crafty... :-)

I'm trying to find a NZ pattern for fingerless gloves (that can also be extended to the elbow)?

I am specifically asking for a NZ pattern because both mum and I have had a lot of trouble figuring out the US patterns (it took about ten attempts to get the Converse Slipper to come out looking half-decent)

This is the only knitting place I'm a member of so I figure, why not ask the knowledgable ones first :)

Any help would be most appreciated, mostly because I would love to attempt the Tardis gloves I saw posted a while back :D

x-posted to [info]who_knits, apologies if you see it twice *d'oh*

Hello.  This is my first post here but I've been lurking for quite some time.  Our four-legged baby girls--Sophie, Emma, and Bella--needed a bigger house to nap in during the day but we couldn't find one that we liked.  Yesterday I was in a crafty mood so I decided to just make them one.  And, of course, I made it in the shape of the TARDIS.

ETA:  Thanks for all your wonderful comments!  And the girls are finally using their new bed.

A Few More Photos Behind the Cut . . . )

I'm making more printables for my Mini!Ianto and thought I'd share... Latest obsession: Mini Calendars. I know, I know... The year is half over. I couldn't help myself - another "quick" project that grew out of hand!

Doctor Who calendar - TARDIS themed, official (mostly) non-spoilry images. (There are two different calendars in the pics below - One is non-Who.)

Pictures and printable DIY files... )

Hi Everyone! I have been a long time lurker and I am very excited that I finally  have something to post, even if I didn't make it myself.

For my last birthday (and in preparation for our trip to England and Wales) my sister designed a flip camera for me.
She entitled her design Tardis Bunny because it featured two of my favorite things Doctor Who and my pet rabbit Roger.

I was so excited and she did such a good job that I wanted to share it with everyone.

I've been thinking about making a shirt based on 'The Empty Child' for a long time now, and Father's day was a great excuse to make one (plus, it was my dad who got me into Who).

With two weeks left to finish, I'm not in panic mode yet, but I did realize that I was going to need more Teal, and luckily they aren't made according to dye lots. However I'm fairly sure this will be done by July 1 - plenty of time to block and clean up any mistakes - I mean design enhancements.

New teeth. That's weird. So where was I? Oh, that's right --Barcelona! )

You're probably wondering why I'm posting it here. The person it's for knows I'm making it, but doesn't want to see it until it's done, and I need constant reassurance.

Sorry - it's a personality flaw.

Been Watching the Third Doctor and gosh if Bessie isn't a stunner!
My husband was in a model building mood and I went looking for info on Bessie. I found two good websites that talk about Bessie and other Siva Edwardian Tourers
Who 1: the Bessie Homepage
Siva Edwardian Website

I also found there was a corgi toy but we want to build one.

So It looks like kitbashing is the way to go for this project.

So, I was looking at my spinnable fibers, and realized that I had some brown and some pale blue wool.

What else was I gonna do with it? )

I have a friend who is a pastry cook. She asked me what kind of cake I wanted for my birthday, I told her I wanted a red velvet cake decorated to look like a TARDIS. She said "Does it need to stand up?" and I said "No, it'll be easier to cut if it lays flat." she said "But I have a plan." I said, "Get down with your bad self."

Well, in the two weeks leading up to my Birthday (yesterday) she went to have a filling replaced and things went... poorly. So poorly that she's been in and out of a different dentist's office several times since then and has graduated from Vicodin to Norco. (Which is like Vicodin on crack apparently.)

I'm pretty sure she was in for a root canal the Friday morning before the day of the party. But she still made me my cake.

If that isn't one of the true signs of friendship I don't know what is. And I don't know how I'm going to top that when her birthday rolls around.

It is red and delicious on the inside )

EDIT: Removed random url that I don't know how it got there.

I'm thinking about making DW cross-stitch bookmarks and was wondering if anyone knew the approx amount of stitches an average wide bookmark would use both vertically and horizontally?

ETA: Thanks for all the information! Next time I head to the craft store, I'll definitely grab some 18-count aida cloth.
