Inspired by [info]starmontage, a dum-dum purse






Rather than using crnkly ribbon to tie the bottom on, I just glued fabric all the way through, so there aren't any holes for little things to fall out. I 'fingerknit' the handle with yellow and white yarn, and then added a lot of bright pink ribbon trim all over the place.

Lots of fun!

how do you achieve that hardened look with purses? I hate floppy purses and I like them to be stiff so they don't sag all over the place when I put stuff in it. I totally dig your idea, though!

Definitely not my idea - [info]starmontage made the first one. She used parts of a shoebox, which is what I used as well. If you look in the memories here under bags / purses, she posted a tutorial on how to do this purse. :)

Looks to me like cardboard backing....and looks fab!!!

I just finished a Starburst wrapper wrist cuff, maybe I need a purse to go with it! ~_^
