I've been a very busy artist/crafter, recently!
(Links out to deviantART):
My Virgen de Guadalupe pocket shrine. A teensy tiny plastic Guadalupe, some glitter, some tiny paper roses, a bit of sheet music, some bits of foil, a little ribbon, and some tissue paper, and voila! Devotion in motion! :)
Could you love a Monster Girl? Could you understand the beauty of the beast?
Wounds old and new. Flightless, bloodied fledgling wings. Shot Down. Proceed with caution. This is the state of my heart. Assemblage art... Caution tape, feathers, wire, styrofoam, paper clay, paint, nail polish, rusty screw.

This is the result of my very first attempt at needle felting. I love this craft now and can't wait to do more. I have a purple duck that's nearly finished too. I'll post him up once he's done.

I know that we're not allowed to post buying selling or trading posts... but what if it's donation related? Like crafting for a good cause? I joined an organization that donated knitted hats to a hospital that tried to save a little boy who died from injuries caused by his daycare provider... I started a branch here in my city to donated the same to the hospitals around my area but in the Name of the child the organization was started for. Would it be ok to post information on how people can donate hats they knit to the cause? If not then I'll leave it at that. I read the rules... but I don't know If I missed something on this subject.

So...another question post! Does anyone have a really good doll pattern they can point me to? Preferrably for male dolls. I need to make 2, so I prefer if the pattern is relatively easy, but looks good!
Thanks so much!

Yeah, I've always hated plain and boring Ikea furniture, and I'm sure other members of this crafty community feel the same way. Well, here's a reason to get boring furniture!

Hello Dear All,
I feel a bit bad that I'm so new here and asking for help right off the bat. But, - no choice.
Perhaps some of you know where it's possible to find appliqués for Russian cartoon characters called Cheburashka and Crocodile Gena (pls see pictures below in LJ cut).
I will soon be lucky enough to become an Auntie :) and I'm knitting a set for the newcoming family member (it's a boy!) :)... but it's SUCH a shame - the scarf and little hat would be perfect if I could just add these appliques onto them, but I cannot find them anywhere.
I really appreciate all and any advice you can give. Thank you all very much in advance :)

I'm sorry if this is a repeat thread, I looked in memories and went a little farther back, but I didn't see anything.
^___^ I'm looking to get some pointers on making some fuzzy leg warmers, my sister is dying for a pair.
I'm thinking it's pretty simple and I just need the material and some elastic on top of some thread and such of course.
BUT! A tutorial would be great along with any pointers!
