There is never a bad time for puny pugs

Pug O'Clock!!!

a more jowly picture

but see, compare him to his human, and his jowls are TINY.

I had seen some patterns around, didn't purchase any. Instead I single crocheted the body, the feet, then the head, and then did the jowls, and ears and sewed lines for the eyes. I'm quite proud of this 'free form' project.

hi all

I really want to make myself a mini top hat, much like the ones sold on this site (which are lovely, but very over-priced, in my opinion).

I don't have much sewing experience, so was wondering if there's a method of making one of these with just tape/glue, card and fabric. I can't find much online. Any ideas?

Hello everyone,

I really want to start making my own jewerly, and start a little business.  Does anyone know of any good websites that sell beads and other beading items for really cheap?  I'm a single mother with only a part time job, so money is pretty tight.

Everyone in here is so talented, I'm so jealous!!

TIA!!

spray bottles and recipes

You never truly know how dirty your house is until your fingers are covered with spray adhesive.  I think Goo Gone will get this off, if I could actually find the Goo Gone...

Mini craft project today.  I went to Wal-Mart and found these cute little spray bottles for 50 cents a piece.  Perfect for gifting home made air freshener/cleaners or perfume spray.  I took some scrap paper and left over stickers and decorated each one, so when I fill it with whatever, all I need to do is print a label and viola! Done.

LAVENDER DEODORANT SPRAY
1/4 cup vodka
2 tablespoons witch hazel
15 drops lavender essential oil (not fragrance oil)
5 drops lemon essential oil

Combine all ingredients in a bottle and shake before using.

SPRAY ON BODY OIL
1 cup vodka
1 cup rose water
6 tablespoons sweet almond oil
2 teaspoons jojoba oil

Mix everything in a bowl, then place in spray bottle--shake before use.

NATURAL BUG SPRAY
 10 drops penny royal
10 drops eucalyptus
20 drops citronella oil
15 drops cedar wood oil
1 teaspoon jojoba oil

Put in spray bottle and shake well before use, spay exposed areas of skin.   This also can be sprayed on carpets to repel fleas- always check for colorfastness before use.

CUSTOMIZABLE AIR FRESHENER

Essential or fragrance oil of your choosing
Water.

Mix well, shake before each use and spray .

LEMOMINT WINDOW WASH SPRAY

Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups club soda
1/2 teaspoon peppermint essential oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Mix well and pour into spray bottle.  This even keeps flies (or those satanic lady beetles) from landing on your windows and leaving spots.

You can buy essential oils at your local health food store (we now have one!!!), you can always buy the cheapest vodka there is for these recipes, and most everything else should be in your kitchen :)  Have fun!
